Well, well. I went to the Pizza Hut in La Puente and ordered the same Large Tavern Pizza for $17.00 (Pepperoni, Italian Sausage, Bell Pepper and Mushroom) Plus $1.70 tax for total of $18.70. I called in the order it without using any fancy app or anything. If I had kept all seven topping on the receipt it would have cost $24.99 plus tax. And yes I know the price is “slightly” higher in California than the nation wide advertisement of $12.00. $17.00 is slightly higher and acceptable to me. But $32.65 at the pizza hut on Newton/Hacienda on 25 July 2024? That’s double!
Same exact Pizza that I got from the Pizza Hut on Newton/Hacienda Blvd on 25 July 2024 by manager Carmen Cordova for $32.65 plus tax $35.75. She said she just charges what her “bosses” tell her to charge. Oy!!!
I have my new Pizza Hut. And they have dine in tables . Thank you La Puente. Goodbye to the one on Newton/Hacienda.

I see this Pizza Hut commercial for any large Tavern Style Pizza for $12.00. Notice all the toppings.
So I go to the Pizza Hut next to the CVS store on Hacienda & Newton. I order the Large Tavern Pizza with four topping, Pepperoni, Sausage, Bell Pepper and Mushroom.
The manager Carmen Cordova charges me $32.65. With tax $35.75. I said Whoa, the commercial says any large style Tavern pizza for $12.00. She said “that’s probably for a single topping”. I mentioned the multiple toppings. She said she doesn’t know anything about that.
I show her the commercial on my cell phone showing multiple toppings. Carmen said “oh that’s a national commercial and it’s only being sold for a limited time. It doesn’t apply to California. I just charge what my bosses tell me to charge”.
She added “you should look at the commercial again and see if there is a tiny message excluding California”.
In the past Pizza Hut commercials from previous years, this Pizza Hut use to honor the price of other specials. But not on the Tavern pizza. I wonder why? As you can see I paid the $35.75 price. It is good Pizza. Maybe I’ll try a different Pizza Hut next time and see if they honor the $12.00 price for any style large tavern pizza.

Dissapointing day today. I always look forward to getting “The Edge” pizza when it’s availabe. It’s a Crispy Thin Crust Pizza. It has “Green” Bell Peppers, Tomatos, Onions, Sausage and Pepperoni. It usually takes between 15-20 minutes to bake. I have never been dissapointed in Pizza Hut until today.
The Pizza I ordered today didn’t look anything to The Edge pizza that I usually get. It tasted okay. The crust wasn’t crispy, it was more soggy. They said they will replace the one I got . After waiting 12 minutes I got my second corrected pizza. Or so I thought. It looked exactly like the first pizza. The crust was not crispy. I guess they thought I wouldn’t notice. But “I” believe they gave me back the same pizza. Maybe I’m wrong. But I didn’t want to make an issue of it. I told them my beliefs. Then I took my soggy dinngy pizza home and ate the soggy crusted pizza. So dissapointing.

Everytime I come here I’m always floored at how incompetent these workers are. Monkeys working in here. When you go to pick up your food be ready to wait a minimum of 10 minutes just for anyone to come to the counter and ask what you need. The manager there mustve been trained in the art of non-customer service at Walmart. The people who work in the kitchen see you waiting and make eye contact but just go about their business shifting things around. Monkeys.
The food was cold by the time it got here and was burnt charged me $5 extra for pineapple topping and barely put any on and the food was disgusting tasted like crap and not cooked properly
