Pizza Hut vs Papa John’s. Carry out Large cheese pizza $9.99.
Service
PJ’s – Service was great. Young man running the till took my name, looked through the orders, told me it would be a few minutes yet, when it was done he immediately grabbed it and called my name. Service and prep goes to PJ’s.
PH – Service was ok. First guy grabbed my name, told me it would be a few minutes, then went out on a delivery. Second guy brought the pizza up and placed it in the to go warmer then went back to boxing pizzas, third guy helped the next person in line got her order then went back to making pizzas, fourth guy brought up an order, put it in the warmer, asked if I had been helped, got my order. 5 or 6 people all doing different things randomly checking on the front counter not knowing what the others had done. Kind of a cluster.
Pizza
PH – Crust was crispier with a little chew to it, the cheese was gooey and cheesy, the sauce was rich and not too sweet.
Side note, we also ordered a large pan pizza because it had been forever since I had one and wanted to see if they were as I remembered. It was better than the cheese pizzas. Had a very buttery and crispy crust, not a fan of the diced ham and the Italian sausage they use. Not as good as I remember, definitely not the same that we had as kids.
PJ – crust was thinner and dry, less cheese so not gooey cheesy, and the sauce is so sweet and not good.
As far as the pizza, IMO the Pizza Hut pizza was better than the Papa John pizza.

Overcharged on my card after tipping $8 in cash for cold food that was over 20 minutes late. Never signed anything or received a receipt. Called the store only for a supervisor to lie to me about reversing the charge. Had to contact my bank and thankfully got the full amount of the order put back on my card. I won’t be back and I’d recommend people pay with cash or just avoid this place. VERY dishonest business practices.

This is absolutely unacceptable! The entire middle of the pizza is just disintegrated! We called to let them know about this and the lady that answered the phone obviously didn’t like being called out on it. No offer of any help or refund and told us because we ordered through door dash that we pretty much have to go about it ourselves with door dash to “reorder”. Her attitude was just as unacceptable as the pizza. Yes we ordered through door dash but door dash didn’t make this pizza, they definitely could have done more for us on this! Very poor customer service!

Only having thin crust options available on a Friday night is quite concerning.
In response to the reply from Pizza Hut, if you’re working hard to make things positive for customers, why not offer store credit or a free pizza coupon? Instead, food was advertised on your app under the guise of being available and payment was accepted. Customer service is NOT difficult and this smug response missed the mark to such an extent that I’ll think twice before ordering from Pizza Hut next time. .

Ordered a “Tastemaker” deal, extra sauce, light cheese, and 3 toppings,
with a double order of breadsticks and an order of mini Cinnabons . the eta was 15-20 minutes, showed up 20 minutes later , entered the lobby and looked over, the monitor said my name and 0:00/Ready remaining on the ETA/Status , I walked up and asked to pay and got told “it’s not ready I’m working on it so hold on”
I looked up at the monitor again and knew it was going to be an experience, my order was marked “ready” despite still needing the Cinnabons and other sides finished, so the metric farming is real….
once the employee brought the meal up and began the ringout, all that I had to do was look over at the soda cooler for her to huff and grab the soda that I paid for and throw it on the stack of boxes, again getting the experience that “just because you paid for something you think that you should get it?”
and for the finale, there was no sauce on the pizza that I ordered extra sauce on, the pizza was lukewarm with no seasoning on the crust, there was also no seasoning on the undercooked, doughy breadsticks, and the Cinnabons must have been run through the pizza oven to catch them up because the plastic tray had melted to the Cinnabons rendering them inedible. it would have hurt less to throw 40 dollars out the window then to have my family unbox the meal and look at me in hurt confusion for bringing them food that they couldn’t eat. I loved pizza hut, but they’re too busy with edgy TMNT pizza boxes to actually make a decent pizza. I just got done a 14 hour day with 7 of them on the road, and all I got was a slap to the face in the form of a mock dinner. Do better, no one’s asking for perfection , just to make the meal the way you’re getting paid to…

Ordered a pizza for carryout because they had a good deal on it, $10.99 for a large! Arrive at the location a couple minutes before it says the order will be ready and decided to step inside to wait. Once inside, I was hit by an overwhelmingly bad odor, possibly of sewage backup? It was sickening. I got my pizza on time according to the ETA. I was so put off by the smell in the restaurant though, I really didn’t want to eat this pizza.
I took a couple of bites, only to find my “hand tossed” crust was so thin it barely existed. If I wanted a thin crust I would have ordered a thin crust. I ended up tossing the pizza and re-ordering from another pizza place.

These are the honey BBQ bone-out wings I received with my order, 99% sauceless. The pizza was basically flavorless other than the handfuls of seasoning on the crust, couldn’t taste any pizza sauce, slices weren’t cut all the way through, and they forgot to add the onions. The only redeeming aspect of this $35 order: my delivery estimate was 2 hrs but it showed up in 30 minutes.

I ordered delivery through the website and watched about 5 DoorDash drivers attempt to pick up the order. After an hour, the fifth driver came to our home and said that Pizza Hut said it had already been picked up. I attempted to call but Pizza Hut customer service can’t do much in terms of a refund. That’s when my frustration drove me to the restaurant itself. I came in heated but the two young guys working took initiative right away. They not only refunded me but offered to make my order right away and offered a cookie for all the trouble. They even brought it to my vehicle. I think as a corporation you need to reconsider using DoorDash because I am positive one of those drivers stole my order. Hard to track if it’s outside their app. I truly appreciated the save by the two guys working and hope I wasn’t too much of a Karen at first but after a long day of work I was starving.

THANK YOU MANAGER RYAN!! Very PROFESSIONAL STAFF! Very great people!! I just wanna start by saying the team at this Pizza Hut bless their hearts is literally so awesome. They are short staffed. It seemed like and they’re just working their butts off trying to keep up with the busy rushes like on weekends and nights.I had a delivery order on a Friday night right at dinner time and I ordered a lot of food. I guess they were so busy that the order ended up taking a long time and got switched over to a DoorDash driver instead of the Pizza Hut delivery guy. Well long story short I went through the process of calling the Pizza Hut and the manager up there. Ryan is literally a stand-up guy and is a great Team leader for those employees at this pizza hut! He did whatever he could to remake my order considering I ordered it for dinner time for me and my young children and not only did he remake my food and had it sent out fresh, but he gave me a refund and expressed his gratitude to me and it was all done very professionally and in a timely manner!!!
