We had the EXTREME pleasure of trying a Pizza House Double Decker pizza!!! WOW!!! it was DELICIOUS!!!!!! The sauce is AMAZING!! Tons of toppings and the cheese was PERFECT!!! We were visiting and stayed locally and Pizza House sent a really nice delivery driver!! Even though the guy who answered the phone couldn’t hear well, because we had bad reception, he was extremely patient and got our order EXACTLY!!!

Been eating here my whole life. I moved 30 years ago to Wisconsin and I still drive a half hour south just to get their Beef. One of the best beef’s in the whole state of Illinois! Their meatball sandwich was great back in the day but, it doesn’t taste the same. The pizza is good but I typically stick to the beef’s. I’d rate the pizza a 7.7 out of ten.

After I moved into Beach Park from Round Lake back in April ’03, not that I was a complete stranger to this area but naturally I had to start exploring the area for the best pizza options.
Within a couple of months, Pizza House became one of my go-to places that I’ve been to quite a few times over the years whether dine-in or take-out.
I know I’ve read some reviews and heard it from other people that the customer service could be friendlier but I can’t say I’ve really had any issues with it.
There’s been a couple of times where it sounded like the guy was trying hard to get me off the phone but then again he could’ve been in the middle of making someone’s pizza and didn’t wanna fall behind and keep that customer waiting too long.
At that time I don’t believe they had online ordering just yet which is always the best option for the employees rather than dealing with you on the phone.
Anyways, Pizza House makes a good quality pizza if not a bit pricy. I’ve noticed that these guys have always been a bit on the pricy side even before the COVID hit but the pizza IS quite good here and easily the best in Zion.
I’ve always tried my best to support local and I hope for continued boomin’ business for the owner(s).

The best pizza in the area!
The price is the biggest issue for trying this, 25$ for a 14in pizza. It’s worth at least 40$ however. They sell individual slices around lunch if you don’t believe me.
No notes for improvement. The crust 10/10, the toppings 10/10, the sauce 10/10. (Sauce is the best part IMO)
If I’m on death row this and a 6 pack of beer is my final meal.
People talking about the service may or may not be true, however if they slapped my mom in front of me I’d still give them 5 stars on the food alone.

Drove from Milwaukee 51 min drive for my birthday meal order a Italian beef dry, aujus on the side w/peppers a fries so my dinner wasn’t soggy once I returned home no aujus no peppers. Poor customer service bad demeanor as he was taking the order this is the second time I’ve had a bad order there and to travel there and back a 2 hr trip for a really dry and plan sandwich happy birthday too me

I’ve been coming here since I was a small kid and nothing has changed. The quality of food, quality of service and overall experience is second to none. My favorite pizza is sausage and mushroom double-decker, which can’t be beat.
Favorite sandwich is Italian beef, special dipped mozzarella cheese, and House peppers. Get a little side of red sauce for the fries and you have a perfect meal. So many more things to choose from but after over three decades of eating here I’m hard-pressed to try something different as what I order time after time never disappoints!

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience really upset me. I called to ask if they had a gluten-free option, and instead of a simple yes or no, I was laughed at on the phone. It felt dismissive, rude, and humiliating. Dietary restrictions are not a joke, and treating a customer this way is absolutely unacceptable.

Food is amazing but staff acts clueless!! Called in a order for a beef with the meal deal that includes fries and a drink only to be told they don’t have anything like that so had to order the beef and fries and drink separately and when I arrived the sign on the wall clearly shows that the deal is $13.95 all day but when I tried to explain it to them they looked at me like I was speaking a foreign language and couldn’t understand so they rang it all up separately costing me about $3 more then it should have because they acted so damn clueless!! Great food poor service!
