Man, This place was a total let down. We actually thought it was closed when we drove by but it was just completely empty. We paid $50 for a pound of brisket, small slaw, and loaded fries. The brisket was terrible. First off they did not offer the choice between lean and moist. They only had lean and it was totally dry. I could tell it was not fresh and was probably cooked a few days before. Same thing for the pulled pork. The slaw was grocery store quality. The fries were the only thing that tasted good and fresh. Myron Mixon is a BBQ legend and I was embarrassed for him because the food was so bad.

Spent $40 on a small portion of pulled pork and two small slices of brisket. Friends had ribs and the pulled pork sandwich. Everything but the pulled pork was super dry. The ribs were super dry. The Mac n cheese was gritty. Even though it’s self serve, they ask for tips at the counter. On top of that everything was under-seasoned and lacked flavor. This is the second time I have the same experience at different locations (the first one was a sit down though). Would not recommend, literally any other place is better.

I found Myron Mixon a sad and disappointing experience. At 7:30 PM on Saturday, January 27th, I was the sole dine-in customer. There was a trickle of carry-out business. The four staff on hand were listless and disheveled. Menu items were served from a messy steam table buffet set-up behind the counter. The pulled pork sandwich I was served was barely warm and not flavorful, and the BBQ sauces were mediocre. I noticed yellow flecks in the off-putting potato salad, which tasted unpleasant. I suspected it was cheese, which was confirmed by one of the staff. I couldn’t eat it. I have never seen potato salad having cheese as an ingredient. The baked beans were okay, but barely warm.

I tried the chicken and slaw here and let me tell you, it has an amazing “juciosity” and memorable seasoning. I also had some of the best service in my life from Gygy; she has such amazing warm hospitality. I’ll most definitely be back to try the brisket and to spend some more time here. Thank you, Gygy, and your crew!

Not bad. Chopped brisket is a little dry. Pulled pork is delicious. Mac n cheese is ok the loaded cheesy potato side is good. I’ll be trying the chicken next time. I was a little disappointed in the banana pudding though. It wasn’t terrible but just not satisfying. No complaints about service.

Great good! We ordered the sliced brisket, cowboy sandwich, and mac & cheese for the kid. Very tasty, definitely one of the best bbq places in the DMV Area!!!! As the side, we ordered fries, which was surprisingly yummy

Great flavor every time I go here. Got the burnt ends plate, Alabama white smoked wings and the loaded potato. Also got chicken chili and onion rings as sides. The flavors and quality of the food easily justify its price

Meat had a great flavor and the bun was great. However, The meat isn’t freshly cut. Also, they used a styrofoam cup to weigh the meat and then disposed of it which is totally unfriendly to our environment. They waste a ton of styrofoam for no reason and for that reason I won’t be rushing to go back.

i’ve tried quite a few BBQ places in the area and reading the reviews now, it seems their burnt ends are good but they don’t have sausage (my fault, should have gone to mission). I got the wings, Chicken is extremely chewy, burnt mostly, and seasoned with BBQ to being with, so requesting Hot, Buffalo, Vinegar, etc. doesn’t matter. All the flats still had hair on them (wish I took photos before i threw it out). Mac and Cheese is soggy soup, literally took one bite and threw it out. Not sure what pasta they even use but tastes like old Gnocchi in cheese soup. I never intended to bash the place, I just wanted them to clean their ingredients better however because the owner believes my opinion is insane, ill just give it one star.

This bbq is really good. There was no way to order by calling which was a bit frustrating but nevertheless the bbq did not disappoint. Them burnt ends get the job done. I mean they pack quite the punch. I feel like the cookie could have been better but everything else was good enough to compensate. Parking is scarce and navigating curbside is a bit off putting.
