More than just a restaurant! We are an eclectic neighborhood joint, “Where all the locals come to eat”. Originally founded as a food truck in 2014, Pita Wheel has evolved into a funky and fun full service casual dining restaurant. Our wonderful staff and loyal customer’s support through the years has allowed us to expand to three locations across the Carolinas: Gastonia, Dallas and Belmont!

After trying three other packed spots for the Fourth of July, we ended up at Pita Wheel. Surprisingly, it was not busy at all, so we grabbed seats at the bar and decided to give it a try. The service was not great, especially considering how quiet it was, but we were hungry and willing to wait. While waiting, there was plenty of decor to check out and TVs to keep us entertained. We ordered drinks and settled in.
I went with the Alabama Slamma Wrap, and my friend ordered the Epic Club Wrap. My wrap was bursting with flavor. The Nashville hot sauce and pickles were absolutely on point. My side of cucumber salad was decent, although it had a little too much feta for my taste—but honestly, who doesn’t love cheese? My friend enjoyed his wrap and his side salad as well.
Despite the slow service, I am glad we found this spot. The food made up for the wait, and I would definitely go back to try more of their menu.

Tried out Pita Wheel in Belmont for lunch. The restaurant interior is open and airy, and there’s also an outdoor patio area. There is a lot of unique choices on the menu that spans from burgers to pita to sandwiches to wraps and much more. My husband had the gyro with sweet potato fries as his side and I had the chicken pesto wrap with kettle chips. Both were delicious with a generous amount of the side. The kettle chips were warm and made in house. Enjoyed our food, server was attentive and didn’t have to wait long to get our meals after we ordered.

I have visited this location twice. Once for dinner and today for lunch. I found both visits to be pleasurable. The staff is always kind and courteous. But **Diner Beware** During both visits neither moderation or Sub was honored. During my initial visit we requested that the burger be prepared medium well. There was no mention from the server that this request could not be honored. It wasn’t until the food came out and the temperature of the burger was questioned that the server stated “All burgers are prepared “well done”. We mentioned to the server that if she had indicated that During the initial placing of the order, we could’ve ordered something else. My most recent visit was to take out a lunch order for the office. We ordered 2 wraps, one of them, the “Epic club wrap” comes with signature chicken tips. We requested to sub the chicken for fried chicken instead. Again the moderation was not honored but it was also not mentioned during the initial placing of the order or while it was being picked up at the bar that this moderation could not be fulfilled. While it is not earth shattering for us, this could be important for others that have a specific dietary need or food allergy. If moderations to the menu will not be honored by the kitchen, the patron needs to know in the event they may need to order a different entree or simply would prefer to just pick a different menu item.

Food is very good and usually pretty quick. I really like to add jalapeños or mushrooms to everything on the menu. I like that they always have a game on the TVs. Plus they have thee best beer prices in town. Five dollars for a 20 oz craft beer, can’t beat it. Their mix drinks are very good also. They don’t have much for a dessert menu but for the shakes that they do offer, amazing and just like the brews, only $5.

This is more than just a Pita Wheel – this is a true culinary experience. If you consider yourself a “foodie,” I strongly suggest you try this place out. I will have to come back because there were too many items on the menu that I wanted to try, but I had to choose.

New to the area so we are always on the look out for new eateries and this location did not disappoint. The Chich and Chong wrap was amazing so flavorful and just good! The chicken nachos are a must. I was very disappointed that I could not finish it because it’s ashame to let something that delightful go to waste. Fries and wings were just as amazing. Staff nice, friendly and very clean environment.

We were able to sit outside with no wait at all. The seating is a bit odd. The tables are narrow, which is ok, but the bench seats are a little too far away from the tables and all bolted to the floor.
The food was great, basic casual meal of pitas, fried pickles, and wings. Our server was attentive and friendly. We’ll be back soon.

First time at Pita Wheel and I must say the young man that was at the front was great! Great attitude & service. We tried the fried pickle Philly with fries and the cucumber salad, it was pretty good, we could’ve used some more sauce on the sandwiches. Also tried the Buffalo chicken nachos and those were really good! Will be back again
