I hosted my 100 person post-elopement reception at Pippin’s, and I could not have dreamt up a better evening for our family and friends!
The Pippin’s team was so amazing to work with, helped us handle every little detail, and put on an absolutely fantastic party. The Piano Players & Drummer were awesome, the food was delicious, and the bartenders poured the best cocktails all night. Special shout out to all of the behind the scenes team & servers as well – they were available for anything we needed and all did such a great job.

Food was so much better than i remember from years back. This kitchen is killing it and the service was fantastic coming in here. The Thai wings were super hot, so know that diving in. The beef dip was one of the best I’ve had, and is a huge sandwich. Fries were well crisped. And i added on some oysters @ $2ea. For the price and service, this is a new go to spot for me in Chicago.

I don’t usually write reviews, but our experience hosting a surprise party at Pippin’s 100% deserves one. From planning everything with Sophie and Courtney to the day-of execution, the whole process was seamless.
The food was great, and the staff went above and beyond to keep everything replenished and fresh based off our preorder. The bartenders and servers were super attentive and friendly— no one ever had to wait long for a drink. Even after our rental time, the staff kept treating us with the same amazing hospitality and energy which we really appreciated.
I also wanted to give a huge shoutout to the managers, Kyle C. and Courtney. Even with another event happening downstairs, they constantly checked in to make sure we had everything we needed and were happy. Courtney was also super helpful leading up to the event — she answered all my questions and helped us set up early. And last but not least, Anna (our server) and bartenders Christian and Zac absolutely crushed it all night.
We couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. Huge thanks to the entire Pippin’s crew for making the night so special. I’d highly recommend this spot to anyone looking to host a private party in Chicago!!

One of the worst burgers I’ve ever had, but it cost $20. It was supposed to be a smash burger, but it was more like a random frozen patty that was plopped on a stovetop. Cheap quality, very salty, not worth the price. I’ve had a better burger at other places, even at Burger King in Central Illinois. The mac and cheese was also mediocre. The bill was also odd: instead of just adding the usual tax, they either break it down or add a drink/food tax. Other restaurants just add one tax; this place makes it seem more complicated, making you wonder if they’re charging you correctly. They also charge for credit card use, but say they don’t take cash, or don’t have change if you want to pay with cash. Other places only add a charge if you use Amex. The atmosphere is generic and the music is not interesting. There are lots of other places you can go for better ambiance and food. Not worth the money. I’d give this place two stars for the food, but the servers were good, so I added a star.

I happened to pop in during happy hour since I was in town for business and I really liked the vibe, food, and service. I had the wings and a glass of wine. Issabella was so sweet and guided me through their happy hour menu and made great suggestions. I will be back next time but if you want to have a solo date or have a fun date night, this is your spot to go!

The hostess and the server were both incredibly friendly and helpful. The interior is beautiful but we sat outside because the weather was wonderful. I had the Irish dip with fries and they were fantastic. My husband had the waffles with strawberries and whipped cream and he said they were delicious. I highly recommend stopping in. We hope to swing by for dinner sometime.

Great place to wind down after the day or meet friends at the end of the week. Plenty of room barside with tables around the bar. There’s also a couple of pub style booths for larger parties. Typical pub menu with many options. I had the Shepard pie and it was hot with good taste. Enjoyed a nice draft of 3 Floyds’ Zombie Dust which was a pleasant surprise to find it on draft. Great friendly service and reasonable prices for the area. Would definitely return to try more of the menu offerings.
