I had a reservation for 7pm on Valentines. My partner and I were seated in a section where there was only one other table at the time and slowly after us the rest of the section started to fill up. 10-15 minutes pass and we still don’t have water and I can see the server for our section taking everyone’s drink orders, grabbing them water and chips. At first I understand, it’s Valentine’s day it’s super busy she’ll get to us when she gets to us, but then she kept coming into our section getting everyone their drinks and even starts taking their food orders… I was getting annoyed as we were there before most of these people. I also make eye contact with her a couple of times. 30 minutes pass and I go up to the host stand, she gives me water and says she’ll send the server to us. I can see the server at the bar making drinks and she comes to our section at least two more times and does not stop at our table. My partner and I are at the front of the section so you have to pass us in order to get to other tables. I say to my partner that if she comes to our section again and doesn’t stop I’m getting the manager… and sure enough she comes into our section looking around talking to herself that she got all the tables orders. I make eye contact with her shortly and she leaves. She was chatting with all her other tables and wishing them a happy valentine’s day while we didn’t have water for 30 minutes. My partner and I are visibly the only queer couple in our section if not the whole restaurant this night so yes we felt as though this particular server/bartender was homophobic to us. At this point we had been there an hour. That’s when I stop the next server walking into the kitchen as we were sitting by the door and ask for the manager. After this everything went well the manager was super apologetic, brought our dinner out personally and even paid for our whole dinner. Our new server, who I had stopped for help, was wonderful and super sweet to us.
I don’t normally leave reviews so I would like to preface that my partner and I love this restaurant. We love the food and drinks so we were heartbroken and extremely upset that this happened to us. Especially on Valentines Day. I really hope that that server was talked to by the manager and even reprimanded somehow, which is why I’m leaving this review. There is no excuse at all for what happened.
LGBT friendly venue with pride flags everywhere which was great to see. When we sat we were told that the food will take a while as the kitchen was busy. Straight away we were told there was no guacamole. For a Mexican restaurant not the greatest of starts.
The margarita menu was great. We all had the coriander and cucumber which were very well made.
When we came to order food. We were told that they also didn’t have the Pink Tacos which my husband wanted to order, their signature dish.
We waited almost an hour for food. The server was very understanding and she came back to us saying that she has been able to compliment us on the house TWO portions of the pink tacos which were unavailable an hour ago.
We were a little confused but appreciated what the server did for us. If they could make us two portions why couldn’t we order that in the first place?
Overall it’s a great place, music is loud so conversation at times was difficult. Food overall was average, slightly under seasoned but the nachos and salsas were great.
Was suspicious about having authentic Mexican food in Seaport of Boston. Probably the furthest place from Mexico culturally speaking, but this place delivers. I woke up wanting huevos habaneros and God brought me here. They delivered. Food was fresh, tasty, and very reasonably priced. Waiters were excellent and plenty of seating and no wait times. Just more breakfast drink / non alcoholic would be great.

We walked in on a Monday night with a group of about 12 after having a reservation messed up somewhere else. Thankfully, Pink Taco had the space by putting some tables together. There are a variety of seating options here, from circle tables to bar seating to normal larger tables.
The food was overall okay. Overpriced if anything. The appetizers were adequately sharable and if I came back I’d just get some nachos to share. $20-$30+ (with tax and tip) for three tacos is absurd, and they are not that filling. My margarita pitcher was around $60 after tax and tip and served about nine small drinks – I’m still not sure if it was more efficient, with the amount of ice they gave.
Service was not great either. I had to go up to the bar for water refills and to get cups for people when they combined tables and forgot to set one of them. We got chip refills once for the entire table of 12.
