PING’S SICHUAN KITCHEN
Taste of Home
Nestled in the beautiful mountain city of Chongqing lies an enchanting old street, where time flows gently and the air is filled with countless memories of flavor. I grew up on this street, captivated by the aromas wafting from kitchens and the magic of transforming simple ingredients into extraordinary meals. My fondest memories are of watching my grandmother craft mouthwatering dishes with love and care.
This journey deepened my appreciation for traditional cuisine, teaching me that food is so much more than nourishment. It is a bridge that connects generations, carries stories, and conveys love. At Ping’s Sichuan Kitchen, we strive to bring you this connection—an authentic taste of home.

We started with the garlic cucumber salad and pork potstickers, and both were excellent. The cucumber salad was super crunchy with tons of garlic flavor—fresh, bold, and really refreshing. The pork potstickers came out hot and crispy, and the dipping sauce paired perfectly with them.
For my entrée, I ordered the Sichuan Mixed Dry Pot, and it did not disappoint. If you enjoy spicy food, this is definitely the place for you. The flavors were bold, the spice level was on point, and the portions were very generous.
Everything was delicious, and I’ll definitely be coming back.

We had the mixed fried rice & General Tso Chicken. We’re not big eaters, so we split the meal. My boyfriend said the entree was some of the best he had ever tasted, but next time we’re going for the super spicy version. Also, I was taking some pictures of the place because the decor was very well appointed. The proprietor (Ping) came out & introduced herself to us. She was so gracious as well. We will be back again soon to try some other menu items out. Also, there is a Montessori memory game that adorns the top of every table that guests can play while waiting for their entrees to arrive table side. They actually sell it, too & I couldn’t resist.

Surprisingly better than expected. The cold noodles were the best ever I’ve had.
The spicy lamb, and the eggplant dishes where are uniquely different from other places. Absolutely loved it.
Note: If you’re not into spicy food, definitely tell them you want everything mild. We ordered everything medium and that was plenty hot for us. That and I would avoid the dumplings, unless you’re totally in the mood for them. They look and taste like they’re not in-house. Otherwise I give this place at least a 4 1/2⭐️

The worst Dongpo Pork I have ever had. It was obviously pre-cooked and reheated in a microwave. The fat is disgusting and the meat is as dry as jerky. Could not finish it even it is just as big as a dish sponge. The waiter messed up our order for fish into beef instead and didn’t admit it. Never go back.

I lived in China for 26 years and I’m always looking for the real thing. This is the best and most authentic Chinese food restaurant in Texas. Go here if you want to taste the best of Chinese Sichuan style food. You’ll be blown away by the great flavors you can’t find in Americanized Chinese restaurants. This is it.

I’m a foodie so I love trying other cultural foods. PINGS boiled spicy beef is my go to. Full of flavor and the spices in this soup are amazing. I’ve been here at least 3 times since September. Im glad I don’t live down the street from here because I’d be in trouble lol . I love their greenbeans for an appetizer. They also have an amazing flavor too them. This is a must try.

Authentic Chinese food with rich, bold flavors. The gyoza, cheese rangoons, and boiled fish soup were all excellent. This is the kind of place where you want to come back just to try everything on the menu. Highly recommend for family style meals to get a little bit of everything.
The staff was very polite, and you can tell the owner works incredibly hard to make sure everything runs smoothly. She even gave my son some coins for the game they have inside, which was a really kind gesture.
The restaurant was very clean and had a great atmosphere. Overall a great experience
