Good recommendation!
So, we stopped thinking about Pings when they no longer served beer or wine. It was very satisfying having a beer while sitting outside and enjoying the water, ducks and geese.
However, for lunch I asked a few friends if they’d like to try it and we were pleasantly surprised (I’ve been twice in the last week). The pics and descriptions should say it all…
I had a Patty Melt and asked for a medium-rare temp (There are few places who have staff to know how to cook to temp; see my other reviews). It came out very well. I also opted for the steamed broccoli and butter (diabetes type 1 prevents me from enjoying my fries), and it was hot and well cooked.
My couple friend had a turkey Reuben with fries and his wife fish and chips (opted for large onion rings). The portions were excellent and everyone was satisfied!
My other friend had chicken tenders platter and it also was tender and juicy and plentiful. He took some home.
All were satisfied and we’ll be back.
Having been there twice in a week I noticed inconsistencies in food, in both cook temp and time, as well as portions. Same price but different portions (smaller portions were at dinner, surprisingly).
I do recommend you go, especially with Autumn weather coming soon! Enjoy!

Food is great every time we eat at Pings. Prices and portions are very good. Service is always fantastic and we never have to ask for anything. The atmosphere is very friendly. It is surrounded by beautiful scenery and they also have someone singing. Great place for family dinner or a date night. Loved the strawberry shortcake. We will definitely be back again and again.

My husband was told about this place by a coworker and forgot about it until he saw a video on Facebook. We took along his sister and brother in law to try it out on a Friday night. It was a nice easy drive from where we live. The location is beautiful. A warm and inviting fireplace greeted us when we walked in and someone was playing a guitar and singing softly beside it. My husband ordered the French Dip and a side of onion rings, his sister and her husband ordered wings with sides of hand cut fries and onion rings. I was a little more adventurous and ordered the burger with pimento cheese, bacon, jalapeño and strawberry jelly… with a side of fried green beans. Everyone was very satisfied with their meal. Everything was cooked to perfection and tasty. All homemade sides not pre-packaged frozen stuff you get at most restaurants. My burger was the absolute best and I can’t wait to have another. So many flavors… sweet, spicy and savory. You got to try it!! Our server was very attentive with our needs and checked on us frequently even though the dining room was full. We will definitely be going back- probably when warmer weather arrives so we can enjoy the views of the water on the patio.

Saw this restaurant mentioned in Band of Brothers facebook page post. My husband was so excited to actually eat where those men were. We were going to go in the fall, which we still will, today was a rainy day let’s do something. There’s a walk way around the reservoir we couldn’t do because of the rain though. There is a patio area weather permitting that is dog friendly. The food was delicious. We had fried pickles as appetizer and Philly sandwiches with homemade onion rings. I had chicken my husband had steak both were great! Our waitress was very friendly.

Had dinner here today. Food portions are large and the prices low. She had the chicken fried steak, and I had the salmon. My house salad was arugula and baby spinach. That surprised me. For dessert, we ordered a chocolate mousse cake and a raspberry lemon cake. Both are delicious. Amber was our server, and she was excellent.

I’ve had takeout here several times in the past and was never quite satisfied. This was my first visit inside and I was very impressed! My fish was cooked perfectly and the fries were good. The inside of the restaurant looks great and the staff was very friendly. I definitely recommend.

Pros: Location on the lake with view of water or golf course, food with lots of flavor, cost reasonable; dishes have higher value. Good customer service and live music provided on Friday nights. The Strawberry Feta Salad with Salmon – Excellent!
Cons: Nothing – everything was perfect.
Next time we vacation in the vicinity we will definitely return to Pings Grill.

Hostess was very friendly, the waitress was very friendly and efficient. The mushroom Swiss burgers were awesome. The meat was obviously fresh and a thick patty that you cannot get anywhere else. Very clean, in dining area and bathrooms. The view was so pretty. We walked on the boardwalk afterwards.
