The French onion soup is worth the hype. The potato skins appetizer was also really delicious. Food and drinks were definitely good and the prices reflect the product. I do wish I’d ordered one of the more unique main dishes versus just the steak and shrimp, my steak was cooked perfectly medium rare for my taste but the battered shrimp was slightly under fried and doughy. Overall worth the stop for a special occasion dinner.

Very elegantly decorated for the Christmas season. Everyone we came into contact was very pleasant. Lydia our server was amazing. She was very nice and answered all our questions without hesitation. The food was great. I had the 18oz Kansas strip steak and my wife had the crab stuffed salmon. Both were excellently preparared. Reservations are recommended.

I had the crab-stuffed salmon with a mango salsa.. It was melt-in-your mouth delicious. It was served with a yellow rice, which I wish I had gotten, and carrots that were so tasty! I got a baked potato instead of the rice. Had I known how delicious it was with saffron and other spices…I’ll definitely get it next time! My friends had the seafood fettuccine and the chicken Oscar. We sat in the dining room with the water view. Can’t wait to go back! It’s a favorite place for Saturday dinner when in the area.

Ordered calamari for appetizer and the onion. Onion was huge. Plenty enough to take home half of it.
Fish portion was large. The Walleye was very good. Everyone enjoyed their meals.
The atmosphere is northwoods feel. The beautiful picturesque setting was a beautiful place to walk around after the meal as well.
We had reservations for 5pm. It was steady but about 6pm was very busy. Servers were very attentive. Water glasses filled often. We will come back again sometime.

Absolutely top notch! Food was unique and spectacular. Service was wonderful- prompt, polite, knowledgeable, and seamless. It was dark and couldn’t see the lake and we were still blown away! The space is warm and decorated beautifully. It felt very festive! We cannot wait to return!!

What a cool place! There are a lot of nice details here. The bar is very classy but at the same time north woodsy. There are tables off to the side in case you want to hang out a bit. They make a great Old Fashioned.
The dining room is also classy north woods. White paper table covers, candle, big windows overlooking the lake, lots of wood.
The food is pretty awesome too. I absolutely love a relish tray and Pinewood has a good one. There is a very tasty dip for the fresh veggies. It’s seasoned with curry and trust me, you’ll like it. We did not have the Baked French Onion Soup because they were featuring a delicious Chicken Spetzal Soup. Yum! The Halibut Oscar was as good as it looked. It was served over perfectly cooked asparagus. The ribs were delicious as well. I’m guessing the sauce is homemade and the rack, while not long in length, was so thick it looked like a pork roast on the plate. They make a potato that has cheese stuffed inside and is coated in bread crumbs and fried!
We skipped dessert as we were quite full and we didn’t have time for an after dinner drink but we will be back for dinner again when we can linger a bit longer.
I would also like to recognize the staff. We were greeted and seated by a very friendly woman and our server, Jennifer, was friendly, attentive, and made us feel at home.

Love The Pinewood, a classic Wisconsin Supper Club. Chris at the bar was friendly and conversational, makes a delicious Brandy Old Fashioned as well. Holly our server was courteous and efficient. Tried the Friday Fish Fry, delicious and filling. The Seafood Alfredo was rich and creamy with perfect scallops.
