What a cute little place. We went for lunch, take out. Parking was ample, there’s a green area to let our little dog go potty. Make sure you bring potty bags. No bags provided but there was a trash. Porta potties are out front for customer use. They were clean and fresh. No bugs either! No restroom inside for customers, only employees.
The outside is adorable, inside feels small, had about 10 tables maybe. It had a modular building feel to it. I wasn’t super impressed with the interior. But honestly it’s not as important as the quality of service, cleanliness and food quality. They mostly met my expectations for those 3, the atmosphere inside didn’t really matter. The outside seating area was great. Though I suggest they screen in the patio area to keep the bugs out. Flies were abundant, so much so that the 8 year old boy at the table near us asked how many different species of flies there were! He started pointing out all the different color flies that kept landing on his rather annoyed and uninterested mom. Kind of sad really. A great teaching and observation moment completely ignored & missed. Not to mention the encouragement of a clearly bright young mind. Oh well.
Nevertheless, it was a great experience! The ladies inside, one in particular, were hopping! Handing out menus & taking orders as we came through the door and stood in line. While at the same time taking completed orders to the tables. After giving her our order we’d take a seat at a table inside or wait outside. Gave her a good tip!
Not sure what the other brown haired, a bit older, lady was doing. Not much really. Poured herself a glass of lemonade, talked to a few people and walked away. There were 3 plates at the window ready to go to a table, but she ignored them. Perhaps she was on break.
The burgers were really good. Hubby said cooked perfectly but I felt they needed a little more time on the grill for my liking. They were just a little pink in the center. I prefer mine all gray. Not to the point I wouldn’t still eat it though.
Fries were like eating limp noodles! But tasted really good. I’d 100% return off it were just my hubby and I again.
Pricing was a bit much. $46 for the cheeseburger and fries meal, bacon and cheeseburger meal & 1 iced tea. With highest % tip on the screen, which I think was 25%. If I were feeding my family of 4 that one meal would have been nearly $100. We couldn’t afford to eat here.
Their shakes are on the dry erase board. No price provided. When I asked, she quoted $8! Wow. I would pay $5, never $8! That’s ludicrous!
I suggest crisper fries, larger drinks (fast food small size cup filled to the top with ice doesn’t give much drink), and cooking the burgers 1 min more. After that it’ll be 5 star.
I’ve attached pics of hubby’s bacon cheeseburger, my cheeseburger & the meal with noodle fries.

I wanted to love this place so bad. It’s a cute little spot with a bar and kitchen. There was live music when we happened to stop by. Other than the mosquitos, sitting outside was quite nice. However, the food did take more than 45 minutes for a burger. The fries were not edible and looked like the grease needed to be changed. The burger was just okay ($13 so typical burger prices). The apple pie was pricey at $7 served cold and probably would have tasted much better warm. The french vanilla shake albeit pricey too at $8, was probably the best thing we ordered off the menu. My spouse got two beers and they were both flat. We asked about the beer and the bartender said it was the pump so basically all the beers were flat but they were still charging full price. Sadly these little things add up which made the experience and food/drinks a major let down.

We had Tiera as our cook and server for 3 of the 4 meals we had. She is an amazing cook and has such a great attitude! When you have someone serving you that makes it obvious that they love what they do it just makes the whole experience a million times better! We can’t wait to come back again in a few months even if it’s just to see her and eat the amazing food she makes!

Starving from the drive from Meridian. Was definitely worth the stop! The cook was awesome! Her food was spot on!!! Keep rocking it! She had a good spirit around her! God loves you! The dude looked reacher haha. He was awesome! Super chatty. The fries are soo good! Keep em crispy like you do! If I lived next door to that place I would be broke haha. Soo good! Wife had the BLT. I had a Crispy bacon ranch and I don’t ever eat that and I ate every drop. Eat, drink and go soak up the street at Trinity! Definitely will be back!

Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced!! We actually walked out before ordering. We stayed at the Pine Motel and stopped at the Pine Café for breakfast the next morning about 9:00 am. I love going out to breakfast and was looking forward to the Pine Café.We were the only customers in the place. The waitress (reddish hair with dreads) obviously did not want customers. We smiled and asked her how her day was, she looked at us and walked off without responding. We sat down and she from the kitchen she shouted “want coffee? On the table we were sitting at was the remote for the TV. We were going to use the remote and she step up, grabbed the remote and snapped “I’ll take that” and walked off. I’ve NEVER been treated so coldly or rudely in a restaurant. As we walked out she came outside and said “ You’re not staying?” We told her she obviously did not want customers. She said “Well I’m getting a cold” and she went back inside with no apology. Nothing. This waitress should NOT be working in any type of customer service job, especially if she is sick. Drove to Mountain Home and had a fabulous breakfast at The Manhattan. It’s too bad this waitress was so rude. We ate at the Pine Café the night before and it was fabulous! The waiter was fun, friendly, and the food was excellent! We enjoyed it so much we went back the next day for breakfast, but obviously had a completely opposite experience. It doesn’t matter how good the food is when the service is horrid.

Friendly staff and patrons in the bar. Very welcoming. Good drinks, and the bar has a nice pool table and shuffleboard.

The Pine Cafe is one of 30 ride to destinations for the Pacfic NW Gran Tour. Lotta fun and sometimes there is food, good food, like today. Had the cheeseburger with American cheese and all the veggies with fries, tater tots was an option for the side but I got my fill of tots as a kid they just don’t taste as good as fries to me. Server was pleasant. I was there during what could be called the lunch rush and I number 7 in line from what I could figure and it only took 25 minutes. The food isn’t made until you order it so its hot and good.

Had lunch at Pine Cafe and Jenn, our waitress, took great care of us and the food was tasty. We sat outside on the front patio to enjoy the breeze and views. Also, the prices are SO much better than the cafe in Featherville. For $22 I had a pepper jack burger and fries with a well whiskey (Jim Bean) Coke double.

Really disappointing experience here. The fries were incredibly burnt. The wings came with 5 pieces, and the hot sauce and ranch on the side were not in the order. Got charged $3 for the ranch I never got without being told it was extra. Got charged a 4% fee for using a credit card without being told I would be charged that, I could have just paid cash that I had. Also on Google they say they close at 9pm, we went at 7:50 and they told us the kitchen was closing at 8pm. We were so excited for a small town, American hospitality/integrity restaurant, and this was definitely not that. Felt ripped off and don’t know how they weren’t embarrassed giving us 4 servings of charcoaled fries.
