The restaurant is located in a nondescript strip mall and the storefront is unassuming. But the only thing better than the delicious food is the helpful and friendly staff. We went for lunch on a Tuesday. I had the Pad Thai lunch special and asked for “Thai Hot” spice level. It came with a spring roll, chicken rice soup and a salad with a ginger dressing. It was perfect. The spring roll was super crispy. The salad dressing was the perfect balance of sweet, vinegar and ginger flavors. We also got an appetizer of chicken wings. Super delicious and crispy, piping hot too . I chose veggies and tofu to go with my Pad Thai. The noodles were cooked perfectly and it came with scallions, onions, carrots, broccoli, and zucchini. I like spicy foods and the “Thai Hot” was perfect for me. Plenty of heat without overwhelming the flavors in the rest of the entree. My wife had the green curry with chicken pork and beef. She thoroughly enjoyed it. I also got a Tom Yam soup that was so delicious, I ordered one to take home. I also tried a Chang beer. It was crisp but not light. Nothing I’d drink on game day, but worth trying. Our waitresses were friendly and helpful, and made great suggestions. So far our favorite Thai spot in central Florida.

Normally we like the food here but this time we ordered mango sticky rice with some other platter. All mango pieces were rotten. People preparing food at Philin Thai should be bit careful. Not happy at all.

This has been my favorite place for Thai food for years. I’ve traveled to Thailand and it’s very comparable. The staff is very friendly and the quality of the cuisine has been consistent over over the years. The Pad Thai is my go-to. On this visit, I had the Pad Thai Tofu and my son had the Panang Curry Chicken. Both were spiced medium. I have often gotten it hot and Thai hot which I enjoyed without it being too hot.

Really wanted to give it a fair chance but both my partner and I were unhappy with our orders.

If you’re looking for authentic, spicy Thai–like you find in Bangkok–this isn’t the place. While clean and sporting friendly and efficient service, the food varied dramatically from the authenticity we appreciate and expect of genuine Thai cuisine. The fried calamari had the flavor and texture of fried onion rings at a fast food restaurant (although with a chewy, “not quite fresh” tinge to the squid). The Panang Curry wasn’t quite right and the Pork/beef Pad Thai was sweet… ugh. Portions were average, food quality bland, and prices were very high for certain items (they charge $2 extra for ice in a Thai coffee that is already priced higher than Singha beer! Really?). Give this place a miss.

I’ve ordered take out 3 times so far, and will continue to visit. Food is made quickly and is delicious! Prices are good, the dining room looks nice and clean. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

I ordered Panang curry with Chicken the extra $1 for chicken that they charge is a first for me. The total for the dish was $16ish with tax. The flavor was OK but could use some more spice/seasoning it was almost bland compared to the Panang Curry I’m used to eating at my favorite spot in Tampa. There was also not much chicken in the container even though I paid extra for it. Service was nice but I wont be returning.

I ordered carry out. The inside was lovely. The service was wonderful. Very kind and helpful. I ordered krab Rangoon and peanut chicken with rice. The krab Rangoon had barely any filling in it. It was mostly hollow. The dipping sauce was so thin. It wouldnt even coated the Rangoon it just ran off. The peanut chicken sauce was extremely similar. The sauce was so thin and lacked flavor. The chicken was good and the veggies were fine but it didn’t make up for the watery sauce. Definitely not worth the $38 I spent. I’ll stick to Siam Garden in Winter Park.
