It is a beautiful, small location. The owners are so sweet and welcoming! The food is really good, there is a little bit of a wait but that’s because the food is made fresh. I was really excited to try some authentic Haitian food, and Piklys did not disappoint! The snapper was absolutely amazing! Perfectly seasoned, tender, and full of flavor.
The customer service was also excellent. friendly, attentive, and welcoming.

This is base on my recent purchase I know they have good food because I had other dishes from there, and they were pretty good. But today I was in the mood for LALO with white Rice, a very special Haitian dish that when is done right is a joy to the palate. That was not the case today, because of one thing that they got wrong, the Rice! I don’t know what kind of rice they used, but the rice was under cooked it was like chewing on melted plastic mixed in sand. That’s the only way I can describe the texture. The rice wasn’t fluffy and soft at all. I mean I like eating there, but they have to do better with the white rice. I mean We talking $30 a plate here, Come on!!!

The food is true, authentic Haitian food. I rarely eat Haitian food outside of home because it’s tough to find food that feels homemade but this food??? 10/10. We had the lalo, sospwa, Accra, diri kole, griot and literally everything was fresh and delicious!!! No complaints. The portions were large and there were plenty of options on the menu for everyone. I cannot stop raving about this place. The staff is also very welcoming and kind. Yveline made us feel at home I love Piklys and can’t wait to come back.

Friends told me about a Carribean Haitian fusion restaurant in Stratford Connecticut. It’s nice! Nice patio seating. Very clean. The food was also really good! I tasted an authentic fried turkey dish and tostones. The turkey was amazing. We got there 15 minutes before they closed and let us dine in for our meal. This is top tier, 1st class service for me in 45 years. I felt like I was home. Very friendly, and inviting!! Bravo Piklys. I definitely be back with more company. Merci anpil/ Thank you very much❤️

I accidentally spent about 45mins at Piklys on their opening day, but I’m glad I did: I was able to witness the genuine and kind interactions between the head staff and their customers and employees. I was able to meet one of the owners, Mrs. Yveline, her son Chris, and her niece(?) working behind the counter. They are very attentive and have great attitudes. Being unfamiliar with the cuisine, I mistakenly ordered a product with meat in it (I thought the sausage was a tomato, pictured), but I’m glad that they seem to offer a lot of variations beyond what’s on the menu! That said, try to be very specific about what you would like and make sure to advise of any allergy or dietary restrictions. They were prompt and gentle remedying this mistake!
At one point I was able to overhear Mrs. Yveline’s niece encouraging the kitchen, telling them that they: “…did a great job (during the chaotic but successful grand opening), seriously.” The passion and excitement is clear at Piklys, not just for putting out quality dishes, but for offering customers a quality experience. I had such a wonderful experience at Piklys! The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, flavorful, and made with so much care. On top of that, the customer service truly stood out. Our server, Yvlaine, was incredibly sweet and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed the entire time. She made the experience even more enjoyable. I can honestly say this is one of the best dining experiences I have had in a long time, and I will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

You can tell it is authentic and alot of love is put into the dishes. It was the best jerk chicken I have ever had, the meat falling cleanly off the bone and every part so flavorful. Medium portion was bigger than expected and well worth the experience. The hospitality was like walking into someone home and met with kindness and patience.
