Old fashion churns and all natural ingredients are used to conceive this ultra creamy treat, which has been voted best every single year since 1986 by two Colorado Springs newspapers. To compliment the ice cream, we hand-dip waffle and cake cones in our decadent chocolate.

The ice cream is great, so delicious and chewy. I had the purple mountain majesty twice and it was awesome. I wish their waffle cones were a little softer and chewier, but I guess it’s also impressive how they don’t get soggy at all. Good customer service. We got kiddie cones when we went with our kids that were only about $3 for a small scoop. The hours on google are not always correct so maybe call ahead if you’re coming for a distance.

Mocha java jolt !! It was so good we had to go back for a second scoop later in the day ! Quality ingredients, very creamy, served at the right temperature, nice portions probably 4 oz or more per scoop. Friendly people. Large selection of chocolates in addition to the ice cream. The ice cream alone deserves 5-stars. I’d give them a 6 if it were possible, or a Michelin rating. Like Arnold says, “We’ll be baaack!”

Update Sept. 2023:
Was in town again for my yearly visit and stopping for some iceccream is a must at Pikes Peak. Got my usual the Coconut Chocolate Chunk Almond Ice cream, little brother did the Dutch Chocolate with a scoop of Salted Carmel. Both were great St least he said that lol. Of course, you walk right by the candy and Rocky Roadis hard to find so we had to get some along with their cashew clusters too. Can’t ever go wrong here between all their goodies and reasonably priced ice cream to boot.
Had a taste for Ice Cream & wanted to experience Pikes Peak Ice Cream as it was rated fabulous
We had the Coconut Chocolate Chip with Almonds in a Chocolate hand dipped Wafer cone.
By golly gee it was so refreshing coconut flavor was not overbearing, chocolate chunks we yummy and almonds we great in the so so good chocolate handipped wafer cone.
Best homemade ice cream I tasted since my grandparents made it by hand.
Had to keep my eyes from looking at all the scrumptious chocolate candy which us one of my downfalls.
Next time I will have to grab some flavored truffles for sure.
Skippy even loved the Ice Cream, remember Manitou Springs & Colorado are dog friendly towns & state.

After taking a long walk through town, we were very hot, so we came here for some cold ice cream and let me tell ya, there were flavors we’ve never seen. My grandma, sister, and I all got a flavor and we all enjoyed it. I saw the purple mountain taro and thought that it would be interesting to give it a try and it was good. It also had pieces of chocolate with I’m guessing the taro goo inside or something, making it even more flavorful giving you a burst of a nice fruity flavor. Definitely a nice little shop to go to as it has good ice cream and lots of different things in there for you to buy as decorations.
