The staff was very welcoming. It’s a large restaurant attached to a sports bar restaurant-type vibe. There’s an area where reindeer are hanging out next to the restaurant for easy viewing through floor-to-ceiling windows! Also, while sitting in the restaurant, you’re able to see live footage of them on the TVs. The location is excellent along the riverfront to watch sunset go down. Music in the background is low to moderate. There were lots of groups celebrating birthdays, also perfect for couples with many seating options. Tarin was very attentive, prompt and courteous. The food was plentiful, a wide variety of options and delicious!

On our arrival we learned that the restaurant was damaged by a fire, so the hotel that owns the restaurant is operating the restaurant out of the event hall located behind the hotel. We looked at the online menu in advance so wee were ready for a huge selection of food to choose from. After being seated we learned that they are operating with a very limited meal and drink menu. There really is not a whole lot to choose from. The food we received was good along with the service. The atmosphere is absolutely fabulous with a good view of the river.

This place is open seating so you choose any table you want and they will come to you. Started the meal off with the tower of power appetizer which came with steak tips, fried prawns and stuffed mushrooms. The prawns were to die for! We both had the beer battered halibut fish and chips entree which was also delicious. Finished the dinner with some homemade ice cream and crème brûlée. Great restaurant with friendly fast service. We came in the middle of winter so it was pitch dark outside but I bet the view outside of the river is amazing during the day. Would recommend to anyone wanting a classic fish and chips dinner in Fairbanks.
