Delicious food after a few too many drinks at a bar/disco. Dominican/Cuban/Puerto Rican food. We ordered patacon, dominican chimi and a $30 picadera (you choose what you want your picadera to have: we chose chuleta (pork chops) pollo frito (fried chicken) queso frito (fried cheese) orejita (fried pork ears) and longaniza (dominican sausage, with tostones (fried plantains) and batata frita (japanese sweet potato).
Place was clean, ladies were nice and friendly, and place is open late, which is an ideal option to go after drinks to avoid a hangover.

Dominican food at 2:30 am was good and fresh. The Mondongo really good everything fresh my beans prepared at the moment. I ordered for one person and bring food for four. The blood sausage over cook for me but for the other friends liked.

This was probably some of the worst food I’ve ever had. Every single piece of the meat I had in my platter was burnt. My empanada was hard, my drink was way too sour, the sauce was runny and tasted like a child made it in on accident playing with its food.. literally a terrible experience. And to make matters worse I paid 75.00 for it and gave a 5 dollar tip!!! The only thing that was half decent was the flaun and that’s only because they didn’t make it!

We came in looking forward to a nice meal, but unfortunately, the entire experience fell flat. Our server seemed quite snarky and less than hospitable, which made things uncomfortable from the start. We waited a long time for our food, and when it arrived, it wasn’t even what we had ordered. When it came time to pay, we discovered the prices were higher than listed on the menu, and the server just told us the menu prices were outdated—no apology.

I’m sharing this in hopes the restaurant can take it as constructive feedback. With a more welcoming attitude and clearer communication on pricing, things could improve a lot. Until then, just a heads-up to fellow diners.”

Love the chimi’s since I moved to Florida I can’t find anything as good. You may wait for the food but it’s cooked fresh to order.

DO NOT BUY YAROAS OR CHIMIS FROM HERE!
My family and I were craving Yaroas, and chimis, and we drove 40 minutes back and forth to get the food. The meat was overly sweet, I don’t know what kind of sauce they used but we couldn’t even eat it. Even the yaroa with french fries and beef were super sweet. The only plate that was good was the fritura. I wouldn’t go back.

Glad to see the reviews about how great the food is but I’ll never know!!! I tried calling to order or really to ask a question but seems like the lady didn’t speak english and she just hung up on me!!!! No longer interested in eating here.

Great place to have some food on the late night weekends. They have an extensive menu on food. Meats, rice, vegetables and more. This place closes after 3am on weekends so if you have desire for some Spanish food after hours come and check it out.

I love picadera. It’s a mix of everything. This day I got fried plantains and longaniza. My friends got an array of other things that, unfortunately, I don’t eat. I don’t remember taking pics, but I definitely will take the next time I go. This is our third time in this restaurant and it is always crowded. The place is not pretty as it lacks decor, but I’m guessing because it’s fried food, they keep decorations to a minimum. I love their fried food. It is located in Perth Amboy. Pricing, I believe it’s on the high end for fried food as I can get the same plate in NY or Newark for cheaper and it wont lack on taste either. Overall, if your here for a late snack then this is the place to go in Perth Amboy.
