The food was ok and not worth the price. The best part was the sauce for the yucca fries. My taco was soggy. The meat and flavor were good.
There was a sign directly in front of the door which made it difficult to enter. The music was uplifting. There weren’t a lot of people there. I might go back. I would not order another if it’s presented like that.

I was curious and hesitant but once I took a leap of faith I was extremely happy I did. I felt welcomed and the atmosphere was very chill and relaxing. Great music and lastly, delicious food. I started out lite because again, I was hesitant and I didn’t go with wrong with it. I ordered a Cuban sandwich and man was it scrumptious!

I will admit, it seems that our experience last night was not typical. When we arrived, the gentleman working the bar was the only person making drinks, taking orders, serving and cleaning. He was doing a great job until a few more groups of customers came in.
Thankfully, we are very understanding customers when we see someone doing their absolute best but…I will give an honest review.

– I ordered a mango margarita, since it was “happy hour” and was served a “spicy” margarita. Not a huge deal as it was still delicious and STRONG but, it was incorrect.

– We ordered an empanada and were presented with the smallest, undercooked little ball of dough with some ground beef inside. It was really dissapointing. Sent it back and traded for another taco. The gentleman working was very apologetic and understanding.

– I ordered Caribbean Nachos, which are always amazing, but mine came out with maybe 5 plantain chips around the bowl and then within minutes I saw the customer next to me be served the same nachos with twice the amount of plantain chips around his bowl.

– we enjoyed churros at the end of our meal but they, too, were undercooked and soggy. We were presented with two normal looking churros and then a big pile of stacked, soggy dough on the plate. I wish I would have gotten a photo but, even as a mess on the plate our children grabbed them and ate them.

Overall, this place seemed to be struggling last night. The restaurant was busy but food was NOT on point. It also seemed that the two guys cooking/preparing the food in the kitchen did a lot of standing around while your front of the house guy was running around like crazy.
Id say this place needs better organization and more workers. Also, get your fryer under control. Or better training for your cooks.

It can get a little loud. The food is amazing. Had Caribbean nachos, a margarita flight, and pork belly. Everything was great. Our server was amazing. He was checking on us consistently and making sure that we had everything we needed. He also was very helpful and knowledgeable on all of the dishes. Thank you for a wonderful evening out!

In an unexpected spot, but worth going to.

The service was fast and welcoming. There is both inside and outside seating. The tacos were really good, filling, and flavorful. Even if you have to go out of your way, highly recommend it.

Want to go back to try to flight next time and try more of the food selections.

We had a great experience here. Our waiter was very attentive and the service was extremely fast. This was on the much better side of Hispanic food in Colorado. The Hispanic food scene is not the best from what we’ve had/seen here so this was a great find. Hidden away in a strip mall, you’d never know it was here. The only thing I didn’t like was the spicy margarita. It was straight alcohol, no spice, and it definitely needed some sweetness. I would suggest muddling the peppers in the shaker and maybe adding some simple syrup. The tres leches was good, a little hard on the cake but the frosting was good and unique. The chicharrones were nice and crispy with a sauce on the side, and the tostones were DELICIOUS. Really glad we came here on our last day in CO!

Came with our toddler on a Sunday for lunch. Sat outside and we loved it! The benches and swings were actually surprisingly toddler friendly and he had fun on the patio 🙂 we really liked the unique taco flavors, the meal plates were big, and the churros were delicious with the mango and cream sauce! A bit pricey but the unique flavors were worth it. Oh also, the plantains were yummmm.

Piglatin Cocina: A Flavor Fiesta in Colorado Springs
Tucked away in the heart of Colorado Springs, Piglatin Cocina is an absolute gem that redefines Latin-American fusion. From the moment you step inside, the vibrant atmosphere and eclectic decor make it clear you’re in for a dining experience that’s anything but ordinary. The restaurant’s energy is infectious, with lively music and a welcoming staff that makes you feel right at home.
The menu is a creative playground of flavors, blending traditional Latin dishes with unexpected twists. The star of the show, without a doubt, is the array of tacos. The “Piglatin” taco, with its slow-roasted pork and fresh pineapple salsa, is a perfect example of their masterful balance of sweet and savory. Vegetarians will be thrilled with options like the “Chilango,” featuring a medley of roasted vegetables and a zesty lime aioli. Beyond the tacos, the arepas are a must-try. The “La Reina Pepiada” is a delightful, creamy chicken salad stuffed into a perfectly griddled corn cake, offering a comforting and delicious bite.
What truly sets Piglatin Cocina apart is the attention to detail. The ingredients are incredibly fresh, and each dish feels thoughtfully crafted. The cocktails are equally impressive, with a list of inventive margaritas and mojitos that pair beautifully with the food.

Pretty cool taco shop type place with a variety of street tacos and other foods on a straight forward menu. Expect to hear late ’90s – early 2000s hip-hop while you eat. I enjoyed the atmosphere, but some might not. The food was flavourful and served fast. It’s a relatively small indoor area, and there is some seating outside, but it might fill up fast on a busy night. We enjoyed our meal.

I’ve wanted to eat at this place for a while, but with a 2 year old and a 2 month old, it’s not really the right environment for us…but we were finally able to do a carry-out order.

The food was quite good and well cooked. I felt that the portions were a bit small, but not too bad. As far as value for the price, I’d say it is fair…a little pricey for the portion sizes, in my opinion.

The parking lot is plenty large and you shouldn’t have any difficulty finding a spot pretty close to the building.

It’s a pretty small venue, so keep that in mind, along with factoring in the day/time that you go. The loud, tight bar atmosphere isn’t really my taste, but if that’s what you’re going for, I think you’ll enjoy this place.
