My husband and I, along with two friends, just enjoyed a wonderful meal and outing at Pier 909!

From the excellent wine and cocktails to the delicious appetizers, salads, and entrées, our evening was perfect. We shared the Mussels and Calamari appetizers, followed by salads and entrées: Veal Marsala, Chicken Piccata, and Seafood Linguine. Everything was prepared and presented beautifully.

I’m normally not one for dessert, but they are exceptionally good here—and they are perfect for sharing! (Sorry, I didn’t think of a picture until after we had shared it. Oops!)

Aside from the great service, food, and drink, the restaurant’s atmosphere is peaceful, friendly, and filled with that “Cheers” kind of vibe. You will feel instantly welcomed.

Stopped in to try a new place out. We got the chicken parm, eggplant parm and arancini as a starter we did order extra gravy as there was not enough. Everything was good but not that next level. A little pricey as i feel i get the same level of food at a chain. Great service though. As always just my opinion.

Excellent meals, friendly staff. Arancini appetizer presented on a layer of pesto, white cream sauce and marinara was a clever nod to the Italian flag! Chilled salads were dressed perfectly. We all enjoyed our entrees – pasta Alfredo with shrimp, veal parmigiana, spaghetti bolognese and eggplant parmigiana- all delicious. Dessert selection was incredible, but we were so full we had to order Black Forest Cake to go. Can’t wait to get home to enjoy it. Try Pier 909. You won’t be disappointed!

The joy of having great restaurants in a small town is a plus to living in an amazing small town. Pier 909 is locally owned, and we enjoyed the hospitality of the owners. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by the hostess/owner, and what a warm welcome it was. Having dined in many different places throughout the USA, this is no longer the norm. Many places are just interested in getting you in and out. However, a small town is the place where you’ll most likely find great hospitality. There’s a wall that gives homage to the family’s Italian heritage.

We enjoyed a few appetizers and drinks. Grandma’s meatballs and the scallops were our choices. They were both really good. The meatballs were very flavorful, moist, and the red sauce was a nice addition. The scallops are perfectly cooked, and the bed of tartar sauce was spot on. Plan on spending some time enjoying the atmosphere and owners. We can’t wait to return.

Had to make a quick trip home to CB this weekend. We had the pleasure of dining at 909 for the 1st time. Everything was spot on, from the server to the food and wine. We had Marta as our server, she had the best smile and personality. She explained the dishes perfectly. We asked her what her favorite was she named a couple and I went with the Orecchiette and sausage (delish), hubs had the lasagna (again delish). The wine was amazing, but the dessert… I don’t do much Chocolate, but we split the 4 layer Chocolate cake… OMG. It was great getting to sit at the bar after and visit with Tara and Roby. Pier 909 is definitely a great addition, and must try, to CB.

I will preface by saying that my boyfriend and I are “foodies” so our expectations are high.
The ambience was absolutely lovely—beautiful décor and thoughtfully spaced tables made the whole experience feel relaxing and upscale. The service was fantastic from start to finish. Both the hostess and our server were on the ball and incredibly attentive. Our server even recommended a wonderful wine and answered all of our questions about the menu.

Everything we ordered—wine, appetizers, and entrées—came out at the perfect time, and every bite was delicious. The chicken piccata, in particular, was exceptional. The location is also great. We live in Fredericksburg, and this spot is definitely worth the drive for a little outing.

Highly recommend!

We stopped in early this past Friday evening. Very nice atmosphere and our server couldn’t have been nicer. We had the Caesar salad, calamari, and side of angel hair pasta. The salad was a good serving with very fresh and crisp romaine lightly tossed with a very good dressing. The pasta was perfect. 5 stars for the calamari perfectly breaded and cooked with very good marinara sauce. This is an exceptional addition to the limited restaurants we have in Colonial Beach. Well done to the staff and ownership.

From the moment I stepped into this charming restaurant I knew I was in for a treat. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, adorned with tasteful decor.
The service was exceptional. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable! And the bartender!! She was amazing. Showcased impressive skills with her holiday-inspired creations. It’s rare to find such innovative mixology, especially in a small town like Colonial Beach, and it made our evening feel extra special.
Overall, this restaurant delivered an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend visiting this hidden gem when you’re in the area. You won’t be disappointed!
Keep up the good work Pier 909 owners and crew.
