The food made me feel sick, couldn’t leave my hotel room. I tried to notify management of a foul odor in the women’s bathroom… he couldn’t smell it, I don’t know what disgusted me more. The way I feel after eating their food or the fact that they couldn’t smell how badly that bathroom smelled of mold and ammonia. I’m pretty sure I saw the inspector in there today, and I regret not going up to him and making a formal complaint myself.

This KFC is absolutely terrible. Sat in line 20 mins, told me to pull up to wait on food and waited another 15 just for them to forgot about us. Had to go in to get the food they forgot, and when they gave us our “potato wedges” it was just a bowl of gravy. (Should’ve checked but figured it was hard to mess up potato wedges) Then had to remind them they still owed us a combo meal. Do not recommend next time will go out and hunt my own chicken and deep fry it myself. But atleast I’ll have a bowl of gravy to dip it in.

My uncle ordered a ton of food, but some of it was missing/wrong.
He called and was promised they would make it right by not only replacing the food that was wrong/missing but ALSO give us extra food for the make up.. My uncle went to pick it up and they only gave him the mess up and not the extra food they promised.

Fyi, before you tell people “well it was a lot of food” that’s bs considering that’s what fast food is. If it’s too much, find a different job 🙂

KFC is known for their chicken, not their service, and this location is a good example. Came in to get a 12 piece family meal only to be told by staff member number 1 that they could only do extra crispy or we would have to wait 20 minutes. So we agree to extra crispy and staff member 1 disappears around the corner to begin filling the order, or so we assumed – 5 minutes later staff member number 2 comes out of the back and asks what we ordered. When we say 12 piece family dinner he informs us that he can only do 9 pieces original recipe if that’s ok? Since that’s what we prefer we agree to 9 pieces + 3 pieces extra crispy. Staff member 2 fills up the bucket and goes to get the sides. Meanwhile staff member 1 comes back empty handed to let us know they are now out of chicken (ignoring the bucket sitting on the counter) and it will be a 15 minute wait. Then staff member 2 comes back with the sides and rings us out. How about a little communication guys?! We ended up taking a good 15 minutes anyway due to complete lack of communication. Food was typical KFC, decent chicken, good biscuits, good slaw, obviously powdered mashed potatoes. Exactly what you’d expect. The service though – that’s why the two stars. Prepare for confusion and a long wait if you come here.

I ordered a chicken sandwich, nuggets, fries, and gravy. The chicken was hot and fresh, and the gravy was up to standard. The sandwich lacked enough sauce, and the fries, while decent in taste, were not fresh and didn’t even fill the container.

I tried to order sweet tea from the kiosk, but only fountain tea was available—no brewed sweet tea despite the kiosk listing it. I really dislike the preservatives and taste of fountain tea, so this was a letdown.

From a distance, the dining area looked okay. But upon closer inspection—while trying to find a clean table to sit at—I noticed many tables had crumbs, and there was a spilled drink (looked like water) in the middle of the floor that no one had addressed.

Early during my visit, several employees were standing in the back talking, while one young man in a red shirt—with a long chin beard—was clearly working hard to prepare food and keep things moving. He deserves recognition. The front counter employee wasn’t present for much of my visit but was friendly and attentive when two older gentlemen came in. Still, she did not offered them the $1 coupon book.

By the time I left, five staff members were actively working, which was encouraging. That said, KFC would benefit greatly from training their customer-facing staff to adopt more consistent, courteous language like what Chick-fil-A uses. Small things like a proactive greeting or saying “My pleasure” help shape the customer experience.

Shelbyville is my hometown. I don’t expect perfection, but I do expect clean tables, attention to detail, and professional customer service—especially when dining in.

1st pot pie had several hairs in it from someone’s beard. 2nd pot pie to replace first one the vegetables were still raw the chicken was undercooked. The register person said when one order comes out we will take your order. The guy didn’t even apologize for the hairs in the pot pie. Said it would be about 5 minutes for the replacement pot pie and it was 10 minutes. It was an overall terrible experience. We expected better food and experience considering the price we paid for 3 people. The floors and tables were absolutely disgusting. They need to learn how to mop and sweep and clean off tables. They didn’t make Col. Sanders proud. We won’t be going back.

Stopped here for a quick meal during a roadtrip and it was about what you’d expect: nothing special. The place clearly had some wear and tear and could use some renovation. All this would have been fine, but the chicken was barely warm when it was ready. On top of that, the mashed potatoes and mac and cheese were very bland. I remembered KFC being better. I wouldn’t visit here unless you are really craving fried chicken and want a short stop.

It truly depends on the day that you go there if you get get service or not. The chicken was small in size and was not fresh
