The pizza was great! Honestly, some of the best pizza we’ve had in Utah County. But the atmosphere was pretty rough not gonna lie. The whole restaurant smelled like old oil and was dirty everywhere. As long as you try not to think about it and just order it to-go, you’ll be fine lol.

The theme of this restaurant is very appealing, with pier decor and San Francisco art. We love San Francisco, so we were excited to try it! However, we were not really impressed with the food. We spent a little bit trying to figure out what flavors to get since there are a lot to choose from. After we had ordered, they told us that they were out of chicken, which is on all the flavors we ordered except one. That was a little disappointing to have to completely redo our order. The prices were also not advertised online or on the menu, so we were a bit shocked when each pizza turned out to be almost $30! The crust, although chewy, was advertised as being sourdough, and it tasted nothing like sourdough. We also tried the $13 dollar dessert pizza, which was completely flavorless. We were also not impressed with the fact that all of the employees were on their phones, one even walking around in the dining glued to it. Pretty unprofessional and unhygienic.

I went to this place with very good expectations. As soon as I walk in, the restaurant was a mess; it was empty but all the tables had dirty dishes and trash, there were like 4 tables that were clean. It took about 20 minutes for us to even see an employee and that was after we yelled for someone to come over. We were not advised on anything, didn’t know that there were promos or anything. The flavor of the food was fine but it was mostly just dough, almost no sauce or cheese on the pizza. But the place was super dirty and gross and the service was terrible.

Review from tonight: Curtis was awesome and delivered great customer service! I had called in our order, and had asked a few different questions over the phone in regards to the Starving Student card freebie and the Pier49’s punch card system. When I came in to pick up and pay he didn’t bat an eye over my complicated requests! It was the best interaction I’ve had there yet!

Sadly had a bad experience at Pier 49. They clearly added pineapple after the fact since it was cold, didn’t add cheese on top, and didn’t cook it long enough. (Left is what I got and the right is what they advertise)

Pizza took a solid 15-20min to come out and we just got 8″ for their Tuesday Special. The price was nice with the Tuesday deal though. The tables were pretty dirty, next time I probably won’t eat in. I really liked the pizza crust though. It was the perfect thickness and softness with a crunchy outer crust

Pier 49 is good pizza. I have ate there a couple of times and it was good. The service is fine and the prices seem a little higher than normal for a pizza place. I would go back if I was in the area.

It has been years since I ate at a Pier 49, and it was great! We purchased a medium Trolley, but subbed out the red sauce for alfredo, and it was amazing. Their pizza is pretty high quality, and a nice break from some of the fast casual pizzerias that are popping up. I think it was well worth the price. Will be back often :).
