I read from several other local resources who did “best donuts in NJ taste tests” this place was in the top five of several. It’s actually inside a larger local marketplace that has lots of great shops. There are a few other local farm markets as well as our Amish meat market. But back to the donuts! These donuts were some of the best I’ve ever had. They are enormous in size and gigantic and flavor! They had several options to choose from and they looked all amazing. I chose French toast donut, a blueberry filled donut, a toasted coconut (for mom) and of course a Boston cream. They also had traditional jelly filled, a lemon filled, and a few others, some are frequent flyer donuts you’d see and others were were some original flavors I hadn’t seen before. The donuts were so fresh and full of flavor, I’m not even sure if I’m able to describe it right, but not a huge rush of sugar and sweetness, just an explosion of the different flavors, I could actually taste the pastry part of the donut as well as the chocolate and then the fresh vanilla custard inside the Boston cream. My advice would be to get there early, they fly off the shelf! Please give them a try! P.S. I played with my pixels ai photo enhancer to see how enticing I can make the donuts look!

The Pie’d Piper Bakery & Gourmet Shop is an amazing shop. I have been to the shop many times in the Trenton Market. They have amazing pierogis and ravioli’s in many different versions. I love their egg, tuna and chicken salads. They also have incredible baked goods. Their cookies and pies are so good. They also have meals to go which I have tried many times. Their meatballs are awesome. If you haven’t tried the Pie’d Piper Bakery & Gourmet Shop I highly recommend you do. You won’t be disappointed

Found this place on a whim. It’s located inside the farmer’s market for those who, like me, initially struggled to locate it. I bought a few donuts and I’m very excited to report that they’re huge, chewy, delicious. If you’re looking for classic donuts, the ones you can only find from a real donut shop, this is the place.

I bought this honey bun/ cinnamon roll today, August 25th and yesterday, August 14th. Yesterday the selection was much better and the product looked much fresher.
The shelves were helpful and the selection of pastries was very limited.
I recommend going to this establishment on Saturdays because on Sunday it looked like an afterthought of opening.
BTW- Saturday’s honey bun was DELICIOUS! Picked at $2.50.

This place is a real gem! I stopped over to their counter a year ago and have been going ever since. The baked goods are always so fresh & delicious, I have a hard time deciding what to get.You can’t go wrong with any donut, cake, pie or cookies. I highly recommend the lemon meringue, key lime and bourbon pecan pies. The absolute best around! Check them out at the Trenton Farmer’s Market, you won’t be sorry.

I am a baker and rarely buy baked products, but when I do, I definitely buy them here. They are quality baked goods – fresh and always delicious. I particularly like his pies, especially the lemon meringue pie. Pies, donuts, cinnamon rolls, cookies! Yum.

This was my first time here and we were really disappointed on Thanksgiving. The lemon meringue pie was just terrible at all levels. The pie crust was underdone and lacked flavor. The lemon filling was a disaster-chunky, gelatinous, and had a taste that wasn’t tart or lemony, it just sweet with no depth and limited lemon flavor. The meringue was spongy and the worst I have ever had, if you can even call it that. I ended up taking the filling and meringue out and blending the more lemon juice, adding lime juice and adding raspberry preserves which at least make it edible. I baked the pie crust another 20 minutes without the filling. The meringue was unfixable. I tried to bake it longer but it was still spongy and did crisp up. Making these changes at least made it palatable so it doesn’t go in the trash which is where it belongs.

First time going there. By far the best most fluffiest, soft, chewy, thick donuts I have ever had in my life. They are absolutely delicious. Every single one I bet. I had gotten the chocolate glazed. I also purchased an apple turnover and that (I’m not even a fruit in my pastry person) was just so soft, chewy yet such a nice flake of every corner and bite. They deserve to have a bigger store!! Very cute and small for now. I would say the baklava was not my favorite but I know it’s someone else’s and it could be good just the flavor for me was not something I’m used to. Definitely going again 🙂 I wish I had photos to show what I bought but I inhaled everything.
