Piccolo Arancio has a nice atmosphere, and the staff were genuinely kind and friendly, which made the dining experience pleasant. The service was attentive, and we felt welcomed throughout our visit.
That said, the food and overall experience felt a bit overrated for the price. While everything was fine, it didn’t quite live up to the hype or justify the higher cost. The portions and flavors were good, but not particularly memorable compared to other spots at a similar price point.
Overall, it’s a decent place with warm service, but the value didn’t fully match expectations. I would think about visiting again, but likely not as a top choice unless I was already nearby or there was a special occasion.

My husband and I had a terrible experience at Piccolo Arancia on Valentine’s Dau,leaving me im tears. The service was abrupt; I wanted a salad and the server said:” I got your order.” but he left before I could ask for a salad. It never arrived and in fairness, we were not charged for it. We waited a long tiem over 30 minutes for anything but bread and a beverage as others who came after us were served meals and appetisers by servers. There was nothing online that the menu had and when I asked for no salt on my meal, due to my taste preferemce and diet requirements, I had 2 choices. I did not like the vegetables that came and when I asked for an empty plate, I received 2 to 3 small plates of the vegetables. I had a half of a filet mignon and bread fro dinner. My husband ordered a pasta gamberi. loaded with cream sauce, though it was listed as having a touch of cream sauce. Last, in front pf t other customers, the owner raised his voice sy me sd hr said: “No more requests, we can never please you.” The room where we sat was cold and so was the owner, to say the least. We went here for Valentine’s Day’s and we were both excited to try a new restaurant. However it was very disappointing. We waited 1 1/2 hours for the Waitress to tell me they ran out of the chicken piccata and I would have to choose something different. So I chose the chicken parm. Yes I was annoyed that it took that long to figure that out but then the manager comes over and apologized for our waitress FORGETTING TO PUT IN THE ORDER! they didn’t run out of the chicken she forgot about the order! Our waitress looked frazzled and another couple asked if she was ok. So now I’m not sure what meal I’m getting and after a half hour more of a wait the food finally comes and surprise! It’s chicken piccata….the one they ran out of….the only thing they offed us was extra bread during our 2 hr wait for food. My dinner was good, the chicken was tender juicy and flavorful. The mixed vegetables were very delicious and cooked perfectly. The mashed potatoes were flavorful however they were ice cold. My husband dinner was not as good the salmon he said tastes like it was sitting for a long time. He liked the veggies and potatoes but his were also cold. The restaurant was nice and we were seated immediately, and I am so disappointed that the service was bad. I really wanna try the home made pasta but not sure I wanna risk it. For my first time going there it was a real disappointment. For the money we paid the service should have been much better. It would have been better if the staff was upfront about forgetting to put in the order but they lied to me at first then made me choose a different meal then brought out the original order. All I could do was look at my husband in confusion as to what was actually happening here. So all in all the food was good the service sucked and the only thing they offered for all that was bread…which was also tasty. Just get better wait staff. Your chef is great!

We visited Piccolo Arancio for the first time and enjoyed our meal here! Everything was fresh, and we thought there was quite the variety of dishes to choose from on the menu. Lots of unique and modern choices that we appreciated. My husband’s lamb was delicious and cooked perfectly, and I really enjoyed my rigatoni alla buttera. The desserts were fantastic too! We’ll be thinking about the baked berries for a while. The servers were sweet and very attentive. Good spot to know about in Farmington!

We recently celebrated a milestone birthday at Piccolo. Both the manager and Chef worked diligently with us to create a menu so interesting that our guests had a difficult time selecting from the wonderful options.
Everything was beautifully prepared. Portions were perfect and the service was excellent, warm and professional. The feedback from our friends was all overwhelmingly positive. The room looked beautiful and I would highly recommend Piccolo Arancio for a night out or a private event, you won’t be disappointed!

Excellent food and atmosphere. Guess the night we went they were super short staffed so the owner was our person which was a nice treat. Olive oil was superb the bread was soft inside with a crispy crust ideal for dipping. Salad was simple but layered with flavors. Their steak was near perfection. It had burned ends but the inside was tender and free of any fat, could not ask for a better cut or cooking of. Sauteed veggies also had a good blend of flavor and savory taste. Over all everything was just perfect this dinner date. Nice touch was cold plates for the salad and warm plates for the main meals.

7.14.23 my 1st time here and walking in the backway was kinda gross. The walls/doors should be repainted. Walking in the front door by main road is better. Inside is dark and dated but the service was superb. I believe Seth was our waiter. We had 2 ribeyes, salmon entree, seafood platter for app, and cream puffs with cream for dessert. The fresh warm bread was delicious. Everything else tasted great except the ribeyes were a little tough (I asked for medium). Again, service was perfect.

Food did not arrive on Valentine’s Day for nearly two hours. Manager who was floating around the dining room did not check in with us once despite us looking around for assistance, eventually had to flag her down myself and tell her the situation and that our server had disappeared. She just asked us our meals and said it would be “7-8 minutes” and walked away. After another 20-25 minutes of waiting, we flagged her down again and asked for the bill, to which she said that the food was already made and so we agreed to take it to go. Nothing was comped from the bill, not even the glass of wine, but we were given two complimentary, poorly packaged desserts as an “I’m sorry”. Accidents happen, but in this case management did nothing to make it right or seem genuinely apologetic, or even offer any kind of explanation. And as for the service, yes it was not great, but it was at a point where it was the manager’s job to step in and represent the business, not her, which she failed to do. Hesitant to return despite things generally being very good.

My family and I came to this restaurant New Year’s Eve. The service was extremely poor and our waiter had no idea where our food was or how long it would take. Every time we asked him where our meal was he said he would check with the kitchen. We were late for our plans that we had and extremely disappointed with our night. Everything was extremely expensive and wasn’t worth it. The bread that was offered was hard and burnt. All the other tables were sitting without food as well. The bartender was rude and had such a dirty mouth. You can hear her filthy language from across the room. I will not be coming back.

We went here hoping for a nice New Year’s dinner. Unfortunately, the experience was nothing short of awful. The service was terrible and ridiculously slow. Drinks took forever and the food even longer. Such a disappointment and obviously a place we will never visit again. What a way to bring in 2026
