However, as the evening progressed and the food service began, I did feel that the standard dipped slightly. Not all staff, but one particular member of staff came across as somewhat nonchalant and occasionally abrupt during service. It wasn’t dramatic, but it did affect the overall experience.
In terms of the food, it was unfortunately mediocre overall. I had expected something that would genuinely impress, especially given the setting and occasion. My starter — calamari — was good and nicely done. A few other dishes at the table were also enjoyable. However, the mains did not quite meet expectations.
For example, I ordered steak with potatoes. The steak arrived first, but the potatoes came significantly later. I had to begin eating the steak to avoid it going cold, which isn’t ideal. There were also delays and some confusion around desserts, which added to the sense that service became a little disorganised.
That said, it was a large group of around 50 guests, so perhaps the kitchen and service were under considerable pressure. Even so, better coordination would have made a difference.
Overall, while the setting and initial service were strong, the execution on the night felt inconsistent. With improved organisation and more attentive service throughout, the experience could have been much better
The food was absolutely excellent. The branzino and pizza were both cooked to perfection — exactly as requested , the zucchini fritte that we had as a side were outstanding as well: light and crispy, and they really hit the spot and were the perfect accompaniment to the meal.
The cherry on top was the dessert, the tiramisu was exactly like in Italy!
Overall, the quality of the food paired with the exceptional service from Lia and Alessio made this a fantastic dining experience. I truly appreciated the care, attention, and passion they put into both the service and the food, and I will happily return and recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and outstanding hospitality.
The food was simply delicious – everything was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. The prawns in tempura were a real highlight for me… perfectly crispy, light, and that sauce… honestly amazing. I could eat it again just thinking about it!
What really made the visit special was the service. Our waiter Giacomo was incredibly friendly and helpful, took the time to explain the menu, and recommended a wine that matched our dishes perfectly. You could really tell he knew what he was doing and genuinely cared about our experience.
Overall, it was a fantastic lunch with great food, excellent service, and a lovely atmosphere. I will definitely be coming back and recommending this place to friends. Highly recommended!
After a long day of shopping on Regent Street, we decided to stop by, and it turned out to be the perfect choice. The pasta I had here was honestly the best pasta I’ve ever eaten — perfectly cooked, full of flavour, and beautifully presented.
What I really want to underline is huge congratulations to the chef for such an outstanding dish. You can truly taste the passion, skill, and attention to detail in every bite. This pasta is a reason to come back.
We ordered drinks and dinner, including garlic bread, bruschetta con gamberoni, arrosto di tacchino, zepole, and mafalde al ragu. The waiter brought our drinks but forgot one, meaning we had to wait another 20 minutes for the mocktail. The bruschetta gamberoni was a joke; it was simply toast with four prawns on top, resembling a prawn sandwich. The turkey was dry, and the sprouts were hard rather than tender. The portion of the ragu was small the pasta was not al dente especially for the price, and as for the dessert, the plate was dirty and the bun was stale. Honestly made a wrong choice coming here i wouldn’t recommend this place.
