My grandson Googled Italian restaurant, that was what he wanted to eat. Found this place, and it was amazing. We were greeted upon entering and told to sit where we wanted. There were four of us, we ordered drinks, I had a half lemonade half tea, and an appetizer of fried mushrooms, they were delicious. They brought bread and marinara sauce even a bottle of olive oil. I had the veal parmesan and my wife had the small shrimp Alfredo, my grandson had the large shrimp Alfredo with extra shrimp, and my granddaughter had the vegetarian lasagna. The food dishes were all delicious, but one exception, my veal was a bit on the tough side. Even though it was delicious with all the perfect taste I was a little disappointed with the veal. Our waitstaff was very polite, professional and friendly. Great atmosphere, very clean restaurant and bathrooms. Because it is Santa Fe NM things are a bit on the pricey side. This is a must return and try another different dish for sure. Overall the taste of the food dishes were impressive. As far as deserts, the cappuccino getato and the tieramesu was excellent.

The food was amazing. The service was just as good. Jacob did an amazing job at telling us what everything on the menu was. The wine he suggested was spot on. We will be going back! We got dessert but to go. We had shrimp and scallops with saffron sauce and 1/2 duck with red cabbage and steamed potatoes. The duck was cooked perfectly and the honey sauce made it even better.

I was looking for a good Italian place in town and I was recommended this place by a friend. Needless to say, it did not disappoint. Piccolino is one of those hidden gems in Santa Fe that you probably wouldn’t know about if someone didn’t tell you. It’s a bit out of the way from the main roads like Cerrillos so unless you stumble across it by accident, you wouldn’t see it unless you’re deliberately looking for it.

I ordered the Chicken Chardonnay with the Mozzarella Marinara for an appetizer for lunch takeout. They told me it should take about 15-20 minutes for the food to cook and I arrive accordingly. Got there, went to the front counter, paid for the food, waited about 2-3 minutes for it to finish cooking, then I was on my way.

When I got home, I was immediately surprised by the portioned size. It was certainly enough for one person and so I had some of it for dinner as well. The cream gravy in Chicken Chardonnay was savory and went well with the 3 tender chicken breast mixed together. It came with spaghetti as the pasta which I wasn’t expecting but it was good. It needed a pinch of salt but YMMV. I didn’t really give the vegetables much attention at all, but ‍♂️. The bread on the side was also delicious dipping in the the gravy.

I think this place is worth a try if you’re looking for authentic Italian food to try especially if you’re out of town. Granted, the food can be a little pricey, but I think this is a great place to go you’re looking for something a bit different and if you want a place to sit with family, friends, or colleagues to eat.

Piccolinos is clearly a popular place, ranked #1 by the Santa Fe Reporter many years in a row. We arrived at a full parking lot, yet were greeted and seated right away. And even though they were busy, our server came immediately. The dining room is crisp and bright with walls hung with Italian themed posters and art. There is an extensive and exclusively Italian menu with Ravioli, Pastas, Baked Dishes like Lasagna and Stuffed Eggplant and Pizzas with plenty of add-ons. Appetizers and salads were creative and interesting. Mains are listed by Seafood, Veal and Chicken. We began with a surprise of a complimentary starter of warm Italian bread with olive oil and a spicy tomato dipping sauce. We shared a Capri Salad (mozzarella, slices of tomato, basil, carrots and crispy, cold lettuce with vinegar and olive oil jugs to mix your own dressing.) Our main course was a large (16”) Pizza Stagione with sundried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, black olives and sausage (substituted for the standard pepperoncini,) ample for two and satisfying. Our beverage, Pellegrino sparkling water came in a frosted mug with a big lemon wedge on the rim. We appreciated these kinds of thoughtful details. There was a quiet hum in the dining room (72dB) making it easy to converse. We especially enjoyed this lunch and will return. Pellegrino’s is very reasonably priced, especially for the quality of the food.

A busy local Italian restaurant that was packed with locals on a Tuesday night. Definitely worth a visit for good food in a casual atmosphere. Generous servings for reasonable prices. Services was good and everyone so pleasant and helpful.

Welcome to Piccolino’s, where authenticity meets the experience palette. Wife and I decided on a Thursday night dinner rather than Friday because we felt the place would be less crowded. What a surprise. It felt like a Saturday night crowd. Lots of people and not long after our arrival the place packed out with many others waiting for a table. Piccolino’s breeds authentic cuisine and dishes with flair. We started with a 10″ cheese pizza along with bread and dipping marinara sauce… A nice beginning. We decided soon after to share a meal. Wife chose the Shrimp Caciofe. I hope I spelled that right and it was delicious. This is our second time at Piccolino’s and it won’t be our last. The food is delicious and so is the wine. The service was good, even with a packed out restaurant. A decided on a flan dessert and my wife did the gelato. Flan not housemade. Gelato is a must. Ok, bona sera and manja! 5 !

Upon entering this establishment we wanted to know if they had thin or thick crust pizza and there was a gentleman standing at the front desk and he said he didn’t know. Really? Since he was an employee I thought he should know! Very simple question. Long story short we found out they did have thin crust pizza so I first ordered it to go and then decided we were just going to eat it there because it was late. So they did switch it for us to eat there and we were starving. I enclosed a picture of the pizza. The onions and specially the green pepper must have been in the oven maybe 5 minutes. I’m used to having the vegetables cooked on the pizza. There was a server, I believe his name was Edgar who was very very kind. He made sure that we had everything we needed. I might have given this restaurant a two had it not been for him.

My coworkers, who are Santa Fe locals, kept saying this was the best Italian fix in town. Challenge accepted. I was able to place a pickup order over the phone for my lunch. This place has a drive thru with signs that prompt you to text message a specific phone number, so they can start bagging your order. The lady who processed my payment was polite, friendly, and prompt.

Now, let’s get down to business. I ordered a zucchini fritter as an appetizer and the infamous lasagna bolloco. The fritter was delish and had a nice marinara sauce that I lathered them in.

The lasagna bolloco? It is DELIZIOSO! I don’t think I can ever look at Olive garden the same ever again. This was a luscious taste of heaven. A mouth watering authentic lasagna with green chili??! Yes, please, and thank you.

This is an establishment that has been in Santa fe for years. They recently did renovations but it’s still the yummy Italian spot its always been. We tried the calamari, chicken parm, and carbonara. Everything was excellent. Large portions. Free garlic bread and marinara for the table. Definitely recommend this place!
