Highly recommended! Visit often. Reservations a must.
Back again for lunch with friends. We ordered pasta with sausage and salad with tuna. Both were very nice. Large portions.
They started us off with complimentary bread and a trio of dips, which was a lovely touch. We began with the fennel and orange salad and the zucchini flowers, which were fried and filled with cheese and both absolutely delicious.
For pasta, we enjoyed the bucatini cacio e pepe, made tableside in a cheese wheel, which was both fun and memorable. The maccheroni alla Norma with eggplant in a rich tomato sauce topped with cheese was outstanding.
For dessert, we couldn’t choose just one, so they brought us two, with one being complimentary. We had the cannoli and the lemon cheesecake with white chocolate, and both were excellent and the perfect ending to the meal.
A wonderful, warm experience with delicious food and excellent service. Highly recommend.
For dessert, I tried the tiramisu — freshly made right in front of us, and it was pretty good!
All in all, the service here was incredibly nice. Such a pleasant dining experience!
The grilled octopus is tender and full of flavor, the arancini are perfectly flavorful & crisp. The pasta is consistently great, and the thin-crust pizza delivers that light, crispy bite, crispy, and loaded with taste without feeling heavy. Tiramisu —Easily one of the best you’ll find anywhere.
All around, this place delivers consistently great food and a warm, welcoming vibe. A must-visit if you’re looking for truly great Sicilian cooking in NYC.
Desserts were fantastic. I wish the server had treated us more like guests rather than just customers. We wouldn’t have felt like they wanted us to leave quickly, and we would have had a much nicer overall experience.
We were seated immediately, service was impeccable, the menu was full of lovely, authentic, Italian food from fish to pasta served with bread and condiments. Both of us ordered pasta dishes, came out quick and piping hot and my friends pasta was made tableside in a pasta Wheel, I felt like I was in for a show. Drinks were also fantastic and reasonably priced and even though we didnt have room for desert in our system, our server insisted we have the cannolis (which were indeed fantastic)!
Our server even noticed that our bags were touching the floor and gave us bag hooks and I felt so happy we chose this place. They should give an dining and hospitality etiquette class to the team at Monkey bar, this should be as popular if not more than that establishment.
We order the Burt’s with Pomodorini and the polpo carpaccio for appetizers, the lasagna and branzino for entres and for desserts we ordered the espresso creme brulee and one of the special desserts, a pear, chocolate and ricotta tart with vanilla gelato.
