Love this spot it’s one of my favorites in Southern California. The food is always fresh and cooked right in front of you and the staff is generally very sweet. I would say the only Down sides are It’s probably the only taco shop I’ve been to in my life that will Charge you for hot carrots, and the portion sizes are a little bit smaller than average. But overall, the quality of food is very good.

Ordered a CA burrito. It had potential. I saw the cook assemble the burrito in their open kitchen. They were generous on the meat, fries, and pico de gallo. Unfortunately, the flavoring on the meat was really bland and the fries were soggy instead of crispy.

I’ve eaten here quite a few times since the new owners purchased the place. It was pretty good before, it’s awesome now.
The customer service is out of this world; the owner has personally come to chat with me a few times, and he’s a really personable and cool guy.
I’ve had several of their tacos, but specifically this place crushes it on carnitas tacos for me (see first photo); the carnitas are so soft and juicy, and idk what their recipe is but it’s the most pork-tasting carnitas I think I’ve had in a long time, maybe ever. I’ve also had chorizo and carne asada. I think the chorizo may have been a special that day or something because it’s not on the menu every day, very good though. The tacos are pretty big too, I’d say maybe a little above average for the taquerias I’ve eaten at around SD and LA. Usually I get 2 to 4 tacos.
Their salsas are all awesome. Their pickled onions are awesome. Their grilled onions are awesome. Every taco I have tried has been great, and some have been spectacular.
Update: had the pastor and carne asada mini tacos yesterday, and both were (see second photo); 5 for $10 taco Tuesday.

This place is amazing! I’ve never tried cactus tacos (middle) before. Also their cabeza tacos (bottom) are the best. It has a hole in the wall vibe but I promise you the food is amazing.
I will say I felt their Al pastor tacos were too tough for my liking.

The absolute best grilled fish tacos. Everything tastes fresh. You can hear the grill frying up the deliciousness. I will be making this a regular place to eat. My daughter got the carnitas and they were juicy not dry at all.
