I have been here a handful of times and always Impressed with how clean and neat everything is. The food is always pretty good. Never a long wait. If you are in Bulverde, I would give this place a try.

My husband and I enjoy stopping by Picadillo Mexican Restaurant every now and then for breakfast, especially when we’re craving Chilaquiles. It’s become one of our little go-to spots for a casual morning meal.
We visited this morning and had the place almost entirely to ourselves. The food was great as always and definitely satisfied our chilaquiles craving.
The only small hiccup was when we went to grab utensils and had to look through the bin a bit to find clean forks. It was probably just a quick oversight during a slow moment, but it did catch us a little off guard as this has not been an issue before.
Overall though, the food was delicious and we still enjoy stopping in from time to time. Looking forward to our next breakfast visit.

The staff at this place are amazing! The tortillas are wonderful and they use really tasty and fresh ingredients! You’re always greeted at the door when you walk in and wish a wonderful day when you leave! I’m having a hard time staying away from them!

The asthmatic vibe of thos place is very nice. It is colorful, but not garishly so.
The decor is beautiful and would fit in a much pricier restaurant.
There is no table service other than bringing the food to the table, but that is OK as the food is very good and reasonably priced.
I’ve been here twice for breakfast and the breakfast tacos are big and delicious! The salsa was tasty and spicy, but not so hot that I couldn’t taste the food.
The staff are friendly and courteous and the menu has a good selection.
A great place to grab a quick bite!!!

I was disappointed with my recent dining experience. Unfortunately, I had to wash my utensils in the restroom, which set a poor tone from the start. The soda was a bit on the flat side when served.
I ordered the Mexican Plate, which didn’t resemble the photo of the menuand the beef enchilada resembled more of a premade tostada. The meat was extremely dry and unappealing, making it difficult to cut into. The taco shell was somewhat stale, and the beef inside appeared undercooked raw side.
The ladies was very welcoming and nice.
Overall, the quality and presentation of the food did not meet expectations, and I do not plan on returning.

I would not recommend this place . My enchiladas had almost no meat and was basically a tortilla with cheese on top. Was not full off my plate . Was not worth it.

Basic tacos nothing crazy. Was good so I can’t complain. Cafeteria style. They do have food that they make fresh but the tacos are the cafeteria style but looked fresh. Ordered asada tacos which were cooked to order . Good flavored tortilla with small but had lots of meat

I leave great reviews for restaurants and hate leaving bad ones, but the cook that worked Friday 27th at 950 a.m. gave me food poisoning. Food was cold midas had 1 egg not traditional pico it was a makeshift pico with huge chunks of jalapeño like he did it out of malice. Tortilla chips looked the color of bacon. Potatoes were trash looked like they sat for 3 days. I tried to force myself to eat it because I hate throwing away food, but I couldn’t keep going. Next morning woke up sick baddddddd. Do not eat here. They do not care about you or your health and the food is trash

Food is great, although when you order, you’re expected to go to your table, enjoy your coffee, and then they yell out your order to have you pick it up. It was not like that until recently, which is bothersome, in my opinion. Coffee is awesome.

I had recently bought a tea, a bean and cheese and a carne guisada with cheese and was surprised that for over $10 I received two small, empty tacos. Wish the guisada wasn’t tough for the price and lack of meat. I tried the place across the street and couldn’t believe how full the tacos were! As a reference, I spent less there, and I couldn’t finish the guisada which was extremely tender like a slow cooked roast. I used to eat there when the gas station was known at Luke’s (back in the early 2000s) and they gave quality food and fair portions… that place is long gone.
