I ordered just under 2lbs of Turkey Breast, 1 Texas Sausage, 1 small container of Esquite. It fell just shy of $75 which is definitely on the higher end of what I was expecting to spend.
Overall I’d recommend it. It’s not necessarily budget friendly but if you’re craving good BBQ definitely swing on by.
Cut man was using a dull knife and shredding the meat. Brisket-Bark was good but tasted like pot roast in the point. Flat was ok but didn’t “clap” when folded. Turkey was only available for catering so not able to try it.
Pulled pork is an Utah favorite and was good. Not tons of smoke flavor to it. Spare ribs had good flavor but weren’t fall of the bone. Links were premade not from in-house.
Jalapaneos, pickled onions were good. Sides weren’t made from scratch so a bit bland. No bread but they did have tortillas but was told that is extra.
Presentation was on point. Atmosphere was nice.
No fountain drinks- I was able to find a Dr Pepper in a can.
It’s worth trying. Sandwiches and other entrees are probably really good.
I paid $148 for what you see in the picture and would do it again for good bbq. Open 6 days a week is quite the feat. Congrats for delivering craft bbq so consistently.
I was hosting a Valentine’s party, and since I’m not the best cook, I wanted to make sure the food was truly impressive and that I had plenty for everyone. Scott went above and beyond he paid attention to every detail, made sure he understood exactly what I wanted, and communicated so clearly throughout the entire process. I felt completely taken care of.
When Olivia stepped in to finalize and place the order, everything was seamless. I’m a busy person with a lot going on, and they handled everything so professionally that I didn’t have to stress about a single thing from delivery to presentation.
And the food… WOW. The mac and cheese balls were to die for, and the brisket literally melted in your mouth. The ribs were delicious. Every guest raved about it!
I highly recommend Pico Rica for catering or any food needs you may have. They truly made my event special, and I’m so grateful for their outstanding service and delicious food.
I ordered two tacos that were normal-sized but $7 each, for a total of $14. The tacos were okay, but very salty and a bit too juicy, so they fell apart and made a mess. I’d call them nominal overall, not terrible, but nothing special either.
What really got me was the cost of sides. I would’ve liked some chips and salsa or queso, but they wanted $9 just for chips and queso. If I had ordered that along with my two tacos, it would have been $23 (before tax) for one single lunch. That’s just too steep.
Living in the Southwest, there’s no shortage of Mexican restaurants offering more authentic flavors, larger portions, and much better value. I wanted to like this place, but between the pricing and the mediocre experience, I just can’t justify coming back.
