I too am from Utah, would go here again if I get the chance. I love Thai food and have learned that what some places call mild, others call medium. If you say mild in one restaurant that is food with a slight spice, enough to feel, not to burn. Others you say mild and it’s got no spice at all, feed the noodles to anyone. This restaurant is the latter. It’s not a bad thing at all, but just something to know so you get your order the way you want it on your first visit.

The food is phenomenal, I’ve been here quite a few times. It’s quiet and elegant. The food does take a while but it’s truly worth it.

If you don’t enjoy spicy food, order your food mild. Medium/hot is above average heat.

Our office recently discovered another Thai place in Mililani and we have been going back and forth between them. We finally decided that for most of the food, we prefer the taste and cost of the other place but no one can beat Phuket Thai on their fried chicken and calamari (neither of which I consider Thai food). So while this place has decent Thai food, it’s a bit more expensive than the other place (probably because we are paying for the ambiance of eating in a restaurant whereas the other place is mostly take out), we still will consider this place for gatherings.

The fried chicken here is just so good. I don’t know what it is about it. It has a nice batter on it that’s not too overpowering, and the chicken is always juicy. The calamari is the best I’ve had anywhere in Hawaii so far. The breading is minimal but the calamari itself is always perfect. Most places I have been to, the calamari tends to be super dried out and hard or rubbery… or both. Not here. It’s soft and perfect!

This is a good Thai restaurant however, my husband & I have had better & worse too. The food is mediocre at best. We had lunch here & it was not worth $50. My husband & I live in Mililani & ate here for Father’s Day. The service is not that great but big potions. I would be happier paying that kind of money for a better quality of food & better service.

At the price of about $10 per dish Phuket Thai offers a wide assortment of flavors and unique dishes that don’t taste like anything else. On top of that i had a half of soup and $10 main dish and thought I was going to explode from the generous serving.

The sauces are extremely precise and directed in taste and are unlike anything that tries to be thai, spicy, or ethnic food.

The only other restaurants in the Central area I would recommend as a tourist stop would be maui mike’s and cafe olive. This is the level of this restaurant.

While it’s open atmosphere I wouldn’t recommend for a date, any other setting or group would find a unique and satisfying experience here.

Not good. Got take out on mothers day and chose the specials. Waited an additional 20 minutes past their originally estimated wait time. Not a big deal in and of itself but when we tried the food it was chewy, and seemed like was cooked the night before and “warmed up”. In addition, the food was bland and simply not good. Sad because we love thai food, have spent months in Thailand and know when it isn’t prepared well. Had the fried rice, papaya salad, fried chicken, and spring rolls and all were awful.

Tonight, wasn’t one of the best nights. They weren’t on there normal mark. Missed it by a lot, I didn’t like the idea of them having one person doing everything, guy bussed his butt and managed to take care of 6 walk-ins, and a huge group of like 8 without taking a break and without a spill. His relief finally came at 5 when dinner started but heck it was to late everybody was seated and the place was full, for a place that only had about 20 or so tables. Guest don’t just come and go they like to stay awhile, blog on the food and relax. All in all if your just looking to enjoy good food at good prices and watch people as the day goes by then this is the place as it is always busy.

Wonderful flavors for the Panang Curry and the sweet and sour fish. Excellent service. Would come back, but it will be a while – from Utah. We found this place via google maps on our way from the North Shore to the airport to return to Utah. Recommended.

Ordered $70 worth of take out. Pineapple fried rice with chicken was cold, undercooked and tasted of nothing reminding me of Thai food. Fish cakes had little to no fish in them and consisted mostly of eggs and grease. Phad Thai had no flavor, Thai Basil had no onions and only string beans. Save your time and money and go to Rajanee or if you feel like driving to Haleiwa head to Opal Thai. Both are infinitely better options.

I’ve been here a few times over the past few years and just went back last night because I’d been craving it. I just want to point out that you get a ton of food at super reasonable prices here. Totally worth it! It’s like reasonable east coast dinner prices with enough to share and still have leftovers.
