We were long overdue for a visit to Phodega and finally made it out to support our friend Nate. It did not disappoint.
The food was outstanding. We’ve eaten a lot of Vietnamese food over the years, and this absolutely holds its own. The Viet Dip was crazy good. Deep, rich broth with serious flavor. I even ended up getting the beef banh mi with a side of Viet Dip because the broth was that good. No regrets.
The salt and pepper chicken skins were almost too much to handle in the best way possible. Perfectly crisp, packed with flavor, and totally addictive.
The ambiance is just as strong as the food. Great music, great energy, real Phodega vibe. We literally found ourselves dancing in our seats while eating.
If you’re on the fence, go. Flavor, atmosphere, and overall experience are all top tier. This is now our go to spot for Vietamese food while in the Chicagoland Area!

Overall outstanding! The Viet Dip is sneakily one of the best sandwiches in the city and their classic Bahn Mi does the job quite well. Add in their excellent Pho and fried chicken and this place is a winner. Prices are also fantastic for the qualify of food that you get. Great spot for lunch or dinner!

First time coming here. First time ever trying pho. This was the best experience ever! The food was so good and the customer service was so great! The food came out so quickly! They even helped me read the labels in the back of the drinks since they weren’t in English. So kind and very welcoming. Very clean atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back here with some friends

Look, the pho is good. Grew up eating pho, it’s good here. You know what I didn’t grow up eating? That Hainan Chicken! ITS BUSSIN.

One of the best Pho is Chicago and suburbs! We had the chicken noodle pho and it was very savory, right temperature and great quantity of chicken thigh, veggies and broth. It was quick and we enjoyed it a lot. We got chilli oil on side and added lot more siracha

Our neighborhood pho spot. This place has gotten me thru good times and bad. I used to go to their old location on Ashland and am so happy they are thriving on Division. The service at Phodega is unreal, it is truly a gem these days to have authentic kindness and genuinely considerate customer service. My husband is allergic to cilantro and they never forget the modification, a lot of places refuse to modify. The owner is always circling around making sure everything is running smoothly. Had to leave a review to say that if you support local business with your dollar then Phodega deserves every penny. And the food is bomb! They don’t hold back on the herbs in the pho (NECESSARY) and they have incredible appetizers. I always get extra noodles and extra lime!

I’ve been on a full-on quest for pho that would make me drop my chopsticks and this is it. A deep, rich broth that asks you to slow down, noodles with just the right bite, and a warmth that settles in and stays.
The room hums effortlessly steam rising, bowls moving fast, staff laughing as they work. There’s an ease to the place, a sense that everyone belongs there. I was surrounded by people, but once the bowl hit the table, the world narrowed. Just me, the pho, and the rare pleasure of being exactly where I was supposed to be.

I just LOVED when the (I’m gonna assume was the owner) said good morning!! Those couple of seconds gave me such relief from the anxiety of trying a new place. Service was quick, food came out fairly quickly due to lunch hour and the food. OMG the food, that sandwich and dip was amazing . Bit salty but I like it that way and to me that’s savory but some people might be on the saltier side. And to finish my adventure I handed the plate to the same gentleman that greet me earlier and I just had to let him know that the food was amazing at which he replied with thank you, hope you come back soon. Happy holidays! ❤️

One of my new favorite restaurants of Chicago. Being Vietnamese and a first generation in America, this spot spoke out to my soul in terms of the food and the vibe. They blend it so well and made it authentic to who they were growing up and who they are today.
The dip sandwich was crazy good. I never had something like that before. The sandwich itself is great on its own and when you dip it, it becomes 10x better.
The waitress spoke highly of their regular fries, and it was sneakily really good. A slept on item that you wouldn’t expect to stand out at a Vietnamese shop.
Everything about this place is fun, exciting and just overall cool. Hope the best for the Phodega business. I look forward to my next visit there.
