Among the most authentic bun cha and pho bo I have eaten in Berlin and Dresden! I returned on multiple nights. The bun cha had the exact smokiness of the bbq pork as it is made in Hanoi, and the herbs provided were just how it is done in Hanoi. The beef pho broth was flavourful and full. As a southeast Asian starved of authentic options in Germany, I was really happy to eat here!

The portions are really large to me; I don’t know if it’s because they’re made for German customers, but to me, the plates are quite huge. Also, if you can handle spice, I recommend asking for chili, but for your own safety, I need to warn you that it’s very spicy ️ ️ ️. Furthermore, ask for lime as well , I might say, Pho isn’t Pho without lime; that’s how we eat it in Vietnam, which adds that umami flavor (I’m just kidding, try it how you like it).
The owner is very kind and thoughtful, and very open to reviews. This restaurant has fulfilled my craving for Vietnamese food, and I would give it a 10/10 and recommend coming back to try all the different dishes. Every single one is worth trying, if you’ve gone to Vietnam, you’ll know this restaurant is the best

My friend and I just arrived in Dresden that day. We were looking for a place for lunch, while we were on the way to our apartment. We passed through an alley with lots of restaurants and found this Vietnamese by restaurant. Here are what we ordered :
1. Rice Noodle with Betel Leaf Rolls with Minced Beef, Herbs, Peanuts and Home-made Sauce : The rice noodle had nice texture. The filling of the betel leaf rolls was aromatic. The greens and herbs were so fresh. The sauce was well-balanced, led by the savoriness and sweetness then rounded off by the sourness. The presentation was pleasing to the eyes.
2. Pho Beef Noodle Soup : The rice noodle had pleasant texture. There were decent amount of tender beef slices. The broth was flavorful with the right amount of spices. The spring onion added freshness to the dish.
3. Deep-fried Wontons with Sweet Chili Sauce : The skin could have been slightly thinner. The taste of the filling was acceptable. The sweet chili sauce was well-balanced. The presentation was nice.
Overall the dishes had good performance. The restaurant also had a relaxing ambience. It was the service that was rather disappointing. My friend asked for extra fresh Thai chilies and lime wedges to enjoy her pho beef noodle soup. When she made the request, the face of the waiter became somewhat unfriendly.

The food is quite tasty. We had spring rolls, dim sum and lemongrass rice with chicken.
Satisfied with the food but the ambience is pretty nice. Full stars to ambience and service.

Pho Viet in Dresden is a vibrant and colorful spot. The beautifully decorated interior and appealing food create a lively atmosphere, as shown in the photos I uploaded.
One downside is the meat ratio, which could be improved, even if it means a slight price hike. Also, the sauce was pre-mixed into the bun salad; it should be served separately in a small bowl.
