Their veggie broth for the vegan pho options is delicious! – not just water and salt like at other places. This one is rich and healthy. Everyone who has been our server has been kind and the owners seem to always be welcoming and involved in their business.
The atmosphere is nice, clean, and comfortable, but the acoustics are “too good”. Something about the materials of the wall, floor, and windows makes it so that you can hear everyone’s conversations haha. Great for energetic dinner plans and if you like eavesdropping – maybe not the best for quite evening dinner plans.
Went in and out, but the restaurant seemed clean.
The employees were kind.
1/1 stars.
Spring rolls specifically, would not recommend.
Not sure if it was the shrimp, vegetables, or both, but it had an unpleasant taste.
The color/texture of the vegetables didn’t seem right. The texture of the shrimp didn’t seem right.
The sauce was “okay”, but not enough to mask the spring roll’s quality.
1/4 stars.
Since the reviews are generally high, I would like to assume that the other menus are better.
The wonton soup was also SO yummy. The broth was flavorful and light, and the wontons had (I think) a shrimp and pork filling.
Service was nice. It was very hands off, which worked well since it’s a small restaurant. It was slow enough when we went that if I needed anything, I could just look at one of the servers and they would come right over.
My boyfriend got one of the rice plates, which he thought was very tasty, but he didn’t think the portion was big enough for his appetite. He had a bite of my sandwich, ended up finishing his sliced pork and rice plate, was still hungry, and then we ordered another banh mi for him. He finished that too!
One thing to note: their prices have gone up. I looked at old reviews and saw the banh mi used to be $6.50, and it’s now $7.99. The wonton soup was $5.75, and I think it used to be around $3. Not a big deal, just something I noticed.
So yummy, would recommend. And here’s a photo of the delicious wonton soup!
The service is very attentive and the foods are served quite fast!
We tried one pho, one BBQ rice, and a banh mi!
The banh mi was really good! The pho was a bit light and clean in the broth!
Didn’t get to have other phos in Austin, but I suppose this one already has a pretty good rating compare to other ones for some reason!
I’ve tried most of the menu and I have never been disappointed. And today I tried their beef Bahn mi and words can’t begin to express how delicious that was! I will def be ordering again I just want the whole world to know how good it is. And I’m upset at myself for not snapping a pic before I ate it.
