Pho Royal Tunbridge Wells is a healthy Vietnamese restaurant with loads of vegan and gluten free options. We specialise in pho, the Vietnamese noodle soup, and also serve delicious curries, rice dishes, wok-fried noodles and healthy salads, too. We also have loads of starters that are perfect for sharing with friends and family. Over a third of our menu is vegan, and nearly all of it is gluten-free, so we are a great destination for people who follow those particular diets. We are accredited by Coeliac UK. A well recommended chain that pushes wagamama straight out of the limelight. The chain itself has existed for donkeys now but the Tunbridge Wells branch only opened within the past year.
It’s a great default recommendation for any who enjoys south east Asian food, and even for those who are yet to try it!
The curries either within noodles or rice are a great intro for us Brits who are used to our takeaways.

Lara was an excellent server. Kind, friendly, and very detailed in taking orders, especially in regard to allergies and preferences. So thank you very much!

Walking past with mother and we called in, never been before but our server Sophia made room for us in a busy restaurant and talked us through the options. I went for hot and spicy chicken that was her favourite and boy it was incredible. Certainly we will be returning and I ordering the same again. She explained how all of the broths are made and was so attentive. Highly recommend this place and Sophia is a credit to the team. Every restaurant would benefit from a front of house like her. Top marks all round.

Really enjoyed my first visit to Pho. I’m a vegetarian and there were plenty of options to choose from. The friendly staff helped with anything I wasn’t sure about and made great suggestions too. The food was really tasty and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Looking forward to another visit soon!

Sophia was particularly impressive with handling allergies – knowledgeable, took time to explain options clearly, and you could tell she genuinely cared about getting it right rather than just ticking boxes. The range of allergy-friendly choices and staff knowledge was some of the best I’ve come across, which made such a difference. I felt very reassured that the kitchen was allergy aware and safe.
Our food arrived promptly, portions were generous, and everything we ordered was delicious. Would definitely recommend and will be back. Thank you!

Been excited to try Pho TW since it opened, having been to branches in London & Brighton. Shame the reception was so underwhelming and indifferent (to all customers not just us). Left a bad taste before we even ordered.
The starters (spring rolls and pork meatballs) were nicely cooked, but the sauces (peanut & núóc chãm) were very bland.
The beef combo was plentiful but the broth (despite mixing the accompaniments) was watery and nothing special.

Food was fresh & very flavoursome! Squid was tender & was served with the Salt & Pepper on the side so you can add it to your taste. Chicken & dried shrimp fried rice was spicy & we loved it.
Great selection of drinks. Definitely recommend the spicy lychee margarita – it has a good kick!
Service was hit & miss. It was hard to tell who the servers were. There seemed to be some language issue (we are Australian), but we had to ask for a spoon 4 times for our disabled son. In the end, we used
one that came with one of the dishes. They did ask if we had any allergies & if we liked spicy.
