Pho Tru (Mayfair food court) | Victoria | Fantuan Reviews
Reviews
This was nothing short of terrible!!! Ordered the beef satay pho and it arrived stone cold with raw beef sitting in ice-cold broth. Not warm. Not lukewarm. Cold. Completely inedible unless you enjoy slimy raw meat and dead noodles swimming in tasteless water.
Zero flavor. Zero spice. Supposed to be satay and spicy and it had absolutely nothing going on. No heat, no richness, no depth. Just bland, greasy disappointment. If this is what they think pho is, they should stop serving it.
They also ignored the delivery instructions and missed items from the order, which just adds to the incompetence. For the price, this is unacceptable.
Hands down one of the worst food deliveries I’ve ever had. Total waste of money. Never ordering from here again
The portions are generous, the food is made quickly and it’s very delicious. I also love that they include sauces with plenty of options to choose from—it really lets you customize your meal.
And the bánh mì… hands down the best in Victoria. Seriously. Crispy bread, flavourful fillings, and perfectly balanced every time. We’re so happy that Pho Tru at Mayfair mall exists.
Positive: same options as sit in restaurant. Food was hot. Came out fast. Price is in the $ range. Don’t like rice or pho, they have french bread subs (think subway style food). Pho we had was beef type.
Neg: Meat amount in pho is on the small side.
Food for thought: they have kids size pho. They can give you hot sauce, chili sauce and sweet sauce if asked.
Front counter staff are amazing and absolutely no complaints there but the Lemongrass Steak Bánh Mì (Saigon Sub) was sub par compared to the other location. Not as many ingredients or sauce (dry bread as a result) and only 1 strip of beef compared to a loaded sub at the other location.
I do believe that the Mayfair location has cheaper prices ($11.25) than the other store but I’d happily pay a couple dollars more for a better sub.
To end on a good note, the Chả giò (Kim’s Crispy Rolls) with sauce on the side are amazing here and at the other store and I highly recommend you add them to your meal.
