Normally I eat Pho in HCM much. But this is the best Pho ever… taste of soup is deep, meat is well cooked, noodle is enough. It makes me so happy. I enjoyed great meal in here with my friends. I recommend this place to you.

Couldn’t sleep and was up at 5am thinking what I could do to kill some time. I wondered if any places were open for breakfast. Amazingly there were a handful of Pho places that all open at 5am (or were 24/7) within walking distance. So what a pleasant surprise to stumble upon this place!
The owner/manager/chef was nice enough and told me to have. Seat. They brought a bowl of beef pho stuffed to the brim with beef, herbs, and noodles. I was the first customer but it quickly filled up with locals. Who knew this place would be so popular so early!
While eating I looked up the restaurant on Google Maps and apparently the place is famous because of some YouTuber or food review show. It lives up to the hype. The broth is different than a lot of the places near by. The other thing I appreciated is beef wasn’t too over cooked like many of the other places here.

Maybe not for me. But for the locals. It is all the rage. Quietly I still think the pho back at home is the best. Lol. There are many northern styles of phos, the one I had at the other place in Hanoi was a bit of modern fusion and was palatable.
Anyhow IMO, try it if you don’t know pho, it would be more of a baseline for northern pho. lol.
Prefer southern style pho with Aussie beef bone broth.

Before traveling to Vietnam my wife and I watched many documentaries on the food of Hanoi. Phở Thìn was one of the featured restaurants. The phở here is unlike phở from Saigon and other restaurants in Hanoi. The broth is less clear than the phở from restaurants in Hanoi. They serve one kind of phở and you can add bread and a beverage. I had a Hanoi beer poured over ice on a glass. You pay up front, sit down, then the food arrives almost immediately. I don’t believe I’ve ever had a bowl of phở with so much beef. The bread called quẩy was a first for me. I enjoyed biting into it after a brief dip while others let it soak in their bowl. With the brief dip you get a crunch. There are different sauces and I enjoyed the clear sauce which added a sour, tart and hot taste to the soup. I added a ladle full, tasted my soup then added a little more. Delicious. My taste buds are not sophisticated enough to rate one bowl over the other but I can tell you that most bowls of phở make me happy and unfortunately some make me unhappy. This bowl of phở definitely makes me happy.

The pho is tasted alright with a flavorful soup. The restaurant is located in a food court inside the Lotte Mall which is a comfortable environment to eat in. The biggest issue I had was that the deluxe rare beef that I ordered was extremely chewy and I can not finish the slices…. The normal medium rare beef was ok…..

As they say this is the oldest or perhaps the original Pho Tin, maybe the owner just want to keep how it is from the start. Of course, this kind of scenario in a Pho shop is very common.. The man infront, just deliberately said the amount we need to pay VND170k for 2 pho bowls.. We were confused since we expected at least there is a menu but then we just go along with it.. We sat inside and observe, so then we realized they only have 1 type of Pho.. Overall, its not that bad but we still prefer the Pho near our place (Dinh Thon) more options to choose..

I really enjoyed the pho bo soup — it was rich, aromatic, and perfectly balanced, with deep flavor and high-quality ingredients. The place has a true street food atmosphere, simple and authentic, yet the taste easily rivals restaurants worthy of a Michelin star. It is rare to find such outstanding food in such an unpretentious setting, and I would definitely come back again.

Very authentic pho bo and offers only pho bo (beef noodle). Cannot say comfortable, but absolutely deserves a try if you want the authentic daily life of a Vietnamese.

Went here for breakfast because of mark weins. Paid 170 VND upfront and a minute later was greeted by two fresh bowls. Would recommend!
