Delicious rich pho broth. You can tell its base is made from a family that loves food. As an ABV this reminds me of when my mom would splurge and get the oxtail bones for the extra “oomph.”
Not many restaurants do the blanched scallions either. It feels “fancy” but not like Americanized fancy, more like mom’s or Aunties putting out the best versions of their dishes when esteemed guests come over. So elevated home cooking or holiday feast.

(Bit pricey, still hard to get over sticker shock for this meal, but it was a treat).

Daughter and I were in Poulsbo this weekend and we saw this Pho place close to our hotel. We saw the reviews and said let’s try it. When it comes to Pho, daughter and I have some high standards. We have literally have had Pho from many places across the United States.

I am going to start off with the staff. This restaurant has an amazing staff. The servers are very polite and very attentive. Good group of people. The place itself is small but very nice inside. Also for going in for the dinner rush, the wait staff did an awesome job keeping tables clean.

The food now. We ordered the beef pho and some spring rolls. The spring rolls were good. You really can’t mess those up. The Pho on the other hand. To my daughter and myself, it lacked flavor. To us if felt like they didn’t make the broth with bones and it lacked some spices. I do know that it all depends where in Vietnam the family come from. I don’t know why but the noodles were very bland and slightly over cooked. Daughter was looking for a salt shaker but none on the tables. This pho might actually be less flavorful than the place in Nebraska that we went to.

Good staff. Clean place. Flavorless Pho. Next time I am in Poulsbo and I want Pho. I will try the place that’s on the other end of the strip mall.

Today I had a terrible experience. I have been going here for over 10 years, it is one of my absolute favorite local restaurants. I came to have a lunch date on valentines day. We ordered two hot milk coffees and a fried pastry thing to start, and then separately ordered one entree and one side each. They delivered the fried pastry and said the coffee wasnt ready. They delivered the coffee ten to fifteen minutes later, way too late to be properly enjoyed with the pastry. less than five minutes after that they delivered only my entree and my date’s side. About ten minutes after that, they finally delivered the rest of our food and blamed it on the chef. We were pretty clear when we ordered that we wanted the pastry and coffee together first, and then all our food at the same time. The pacing of the delivery of our meal was entirely unorthodox and ruined the experience, putting me in a very bad mood. There were barely any other customers there to take care of, it was not busy. This is all not to mention that there were a lot of grounds in my coffee, and when I brought it to their attention they tried to insist that is how it is supposed to be without looking at it. They did replace the coffee, and the new one was significantly better. The food was delicious as always, thats why I came, but I don’t think I will return for a while because the experience I had negatively affected my holiday. They also have taken down many of the unique decorations over the years and “modernized”, which is a shame.

My wife had the Pho which she said was pretty darn good but there was only a fine amount of beef. My son and I split the ‘special fried rice.’ It was decent food and there was plenty to share. The Vietnamese coffee is the bomb but there a little too much condensed milk for my liking. I really enjoyed that it came with the Vietnamese coffee maker.

The service does not live up to the great food. We walked in for lunch and had to wait about 5 minutes to be seated as there is no dedicated host. We then weren’t greeted for 10 minutes and had to ask for water. We then ordered and our canned drinks took 10 more minutes to be delivered. The rice plate wasn’t split onto two plates for my daughters and no smaller plates were brought for our egg rolls. We weren’t checked on after the food was brought out and I requested a brisket pho to go for my wife and that was 15 minutes late after we got the check. We also were never were asked if we wanted another drink. I don’t usually write reviews but as a former server the only difference between us having a bad experience and a great experience here was the lack of effort of the service staff which is fixable. We genuinely enjoyed the food and hope these issues can be fixed.

1st time here and we were super impressed with the Bun Bo Hue and Pho, the Bun Bo Hue was better but both were good. Lots of meat and broth was spot on coming from a Vietnamese person. We would definitely come back.

I would say I am a Pho pursuer, always on the hunt for the best broth and soup. I really enjoyed anything about my tofu pho with beef both here. The spring rolls with the peanut sauce is the best I’ve ever had. My ONLY complaint, the pho doesn’t come standard with veggies such as carrot, broccoli and cabbage like other places. You have to actually pay more for them. It is really upsetting, I wish it was at a minimum a ‘ask if you want them’ situation. If it’s a cost issue on the restaurant then sure, I get it, but quality should matter more. I had to give a 4.

I’ve been a fan of pho t & n for a long time and have always been happy with the food. Although our recent take out order of chicken pho was not up to our expectations, I don’t think I’ve ever had chicken so tough, it was inedible. I ended up pulling out the chicken and replaced it with some rotisserie chicken we had in refrigerator.
I hope this situation is a one off and not a chronic issue.
We will be trying again.

Good place to dine if you love Pho. Food was really good and wasn’t crowded when we went to lunch on Saturday afternoon 12:30ish. Service was good. The restaurant ambience looked good too. We had the shaking beef and ox tail pho along with the egg roll. We ordered egg roll again but it wasn’t that good as the first order of egg roll.
