I was a little uncertain about visiting after reading prior reviews, but it appears a lot has changed, and all for the better. My seven year-old daughter really loves Ramen and chicken. So we decided to try this place. We passed by this intersection all the time on Nevada. And yes I know it can be sketchy. But after going inside, the staff was very friendly and attentive and the inside is larger than you expect, and decorated, and is very clean. My wife and I enjoyed our dishes and finish them and the portions were just right. And we took our daughters half portion home for lunch. Everything was very tasty. And the egg rolls were nice and crispy, not soggy, or cold at all. Earlier reviews talked about this being a counter service restaurant, but actually she took our orders at the table but when we left, we did pay at the counter, which was totally fine. Also, we arrived about 20 minutes before closing on a Sunday night and that was no problem. And another couple came in as well. Sunday night is usually the best night for our family to go out and there are not a lot of options. So we appreciate the service and the food. I’m sure we’ll be back.

Cute, family oriented place. Tucked away in a setting that is just adorable. Price and quality is this places appeal, but dont be fooled. The staff was sweet, attentive and I was so surprised that this broth hits, and hits with that love only a mother could have.

The owner himself took our order and his character truly demonstrates the reason why he is a culinary icon and a great neighbor!!
This place is extremely delicious! You never have to wait and there’s plenty of dinning space, bring a friend and ask for Peter’s special hot sauce!!

The service was above and beyond, and the food was SUPER delicious. I was pleasantly surprised to find such good food at this location. That being said, it is located in a somewhat seedy part of town. Good news is that probably means the price of your food isn’t higher bc of high rental cost!

We are in the area and felt like a bowl of pho. Google maps found this place for us. It’s okay… the server was friendly enough. But you pay upfront before your food shows up. And you are asked to tip for bringing your food out. Oh well…
The tofu spring rolls weren’t good. The wrappers were very goo-ie. The filling is mostly lettuce. There’s literally one thin slice of tofu in the spring rolls. Not recommended. The brisket pho was also just okay. The broth is meh. I can’t tell it’s actually made from beef bones. The brisket is dry. The noodles were fine though. So it’s definitely edible. But nothing to write home about. There are so many better pho restaurants out there.
Btw, what is the deal of all these homeless people roaming around the street!?
