This is my favorite place for a fulfilling meal of lemon grass pork chops. Been here for number of times for lunch and had it with rice, soup noodle or combination broken rice. Always the same tasty pork chops. The pork chops being served are big and nicely fried with lemon grass coated over yet its tender and juicy. The amount served is usually more than enough for me.

Another go to dish for me is the vermicelli salad, also large portion with plenty of ingredients. I had it with the lemon grass chicken also very tender and succulent which goes well with the raw veggie salad and vermicelli.

This place’s service is always very fast and note a lot things are self-serve here like bottled tap water, cups, cutleries and ordering at the counter. But if something ran out the staff are happy to help.

The restaurant has two levels so plenty of seating with upper level mainly for larger groups. It is however less of a convenient for people that are less mobile as the entrance of the restaurant require you to travel up quite a few large steps.

Overall it is a place I will keep coming back all year round- colder days for their pork chops and hotter days for their vermicelli salad. two thumbs up.

I’ve often been asked if I’m Vietnamese, simply because of how much I enjoy a steaming bowl of rare beef Phở. Anyone who loves this dish will understand—the fragrant broth, fresh basil and lemon, and gentle spice feel like breathing in the freshness of a bamboo forest. Although I’m not Vietnamese, I find myself drawn to Vietnamese cuisine again and again; for me, it’s second only to Thai food in terms of comfort and flavour.

Pho Sam Noodle House has long been one of my favourite spots when I lived in Epping. Conveniently located near the railway station, it was the perfect place to stop in after work when I was hungry before heading home. The dining area is clean and spacious, with a wide entrance that makes it easy to settle in. The only drawback is the bathroom, which is located upstairs—about 20 steps up—making it less accessible for elderly diners.

Overall, Pho Sam Noodle House delivers authentic flavours and a welcoming space, and it remains a memorable part of my dining experiences in Epping.

Although there was another Vietnamese restaurant closer to my home in Epping, Genesis Vietnamese Cuisine, it never quite met my expectations. That’s why I often chose to walk across to the other side of the railway station to support Pho Sam Noodle House instead. Their consistency and authentic flavours made the extra effort worthwhile.

Pho Sam is a delightful gem that has quickly become a family favourite. Their pho soups, especially the chicken and beef, are nothing short of spectacular, flavourful and comforting. The wonton soup is equally impressive, showcasing a perfect blend of textures and tastes. Additionally, the laksa and various curry dishes are rich and satisfying, bringing a distinct kick that food lovers crave.

Don’t miss the Lemongrass Garlic Chicken Wings, they’re a brilliant entrée that packs a punch of flavour.

One of the best parts is the quick service, when you call in for takeout, there’s only about a 15 minute wait. Orders are neatly wrapped to avoid any spills, making for a hassle free experience.

Dining in the restaurant offers a humble atmosphere that feels welcoming and relaxed, perfect for a casual night out or quick lunch meet. Overall, Sam Pho is a fantastic spot for takeaway, and my whole family thoroughly enjoys what they have to offer. Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic flavours.

Ear and go setting with many ppl coming in ordering takeaway.

Ordered the beef stir fried rice noodles.
5 stars for that , taste texture and everything to perfection as in flaming heat from “wok “ was strong

Mum ordered some type of Vietnamese rice noodle roll and said it was terrible though.

Pho Sam graciously accommodated our team of 40 people upstairs for lunch. The food was delicious, the service went above and beyond, and we were very thankful to them for having us! Would absolutely visit again.

When I was a young boy, the previous owner of this establishment gave me a lift from the station to my house, when she saw me drag my luggage from Epping station home.
In that moment, I swore to always be a patron to her resturant.

However, today I must renounce this commitment. As I see her successors have squandered an opportunity to grow their business.

1) Your order at the counter rule is BS: I sat down, you said pay at the counter. White guy in blue shirt sits down, you take the $50 out of his hand. I can only laugh because it only indicates you’re too meek to say no to outside your own race.

2) Why do you even have 5 staff standing around when they aren’t taking orders for food? Your resturant’s vibe is off because of number 1.

3) Your manager/boss’ attitude requires working on, he rolls his eyes when he thinks people cannot see it.

Finally, I think it is safe to say, I will not be visiting this establishment and I hope the previous owner is in good health as I understand her health condition impacts her outward appearance but her work ethic is dearly missing. Her heart showed in her staff, food and etiquette.

I’ll give you the exact time, it was 6th of December 2025, around 5:55pm-6:10pm, you have camera’s right? You can check for yourself when that man handed you your precious cash.

Super quick service, reasonably priced for under $20, you get substantial amount of noodle soup. The chicken Laksa had tons of meat and the soup had nice coconut flavour. The pho broth was nice as well.

We came here for lunch one day after a friend said this place has cheap and cheerful food. The price is yes, relatively cheap. We can get away with under $20 person.
Service it was basic. I wasn’t expecting excellent service…
We ordered the beef pho and curry beef brisket. The pho has a reasonable broth – I wished it had more flavour though. I also wished the soup was hotter so it could have cooked the beef more. Anyway…I didn’t get food poisoning so it’ll all ok.
The beef in the curry was quite chewy and it was fairly bland. Generous serving of rice though.
Overall, it is an average place. I would come here if I am desperate for some pho. But I know better pho places to eat at.

Food and service are not as good as before. OK in general, but getting a bit salty. It used to be very good, now can only grade as good. However, its seafood is still very nice.

Was pretty disappointed with our experience as we found the food to be quite lacking. The first sign was the weak serving of bean sprouts but then it was confirmed with the bland taste in their soups. The pho’s noodle also broke too easily and the drink seemed sad also as seen through the colour.
