Walking in, this place we poppin. Hella people had the same idea for lunch so I knew it was I was at the right joint. It did take us a minute to get sat. Our sweet waitress had to clean our table while serving and checking guests out. We were finally sat and checked out the menu.
I ordered the 7a pho dac biet today. A small bowl that had a little of everything. My daughter got bun bo hue. We wanted to start off with some fresh rolls. So, we just hung out and absorbed the vibe while food was being prepared.
The cold rolls came out first. The pair of rolls were hearty. I like that they weren’t skimpy. The sauce that came with them was good but different. It did taste like it had Maggi in it. My bowl of pho came out shortly. Man did it look good! It was pipping hot and nicely garnished. What I appreciated was the amount of noodles I got in my bowl. There was a little of everything in the bowl. Brisket, meatballs, tendon, tripe, steak of some sort. The soup was savory and rich. It was a great bowl of pho. Small was right amount and I still had a good amount left over.
My daughter enjoyed every bite of her bun bo hue. She enjoyed the noodles as they were chewy and bouncy. The broth was spicy and savory. It came with extras that she wasn’t used to like the pigs foot and blood clot. She wasn’t that daring to try but was intrigued.
I’m looking forward to coming back and trying banh hoi which is steamed sticky rice noodles with charboiled pork. It was one of my favorite Vietnamese dishes that my parents made at their restaurant. The staff was nice and super friendly. Lunch was great! I can’t wait to come back for my next meal.
The place was very full even close to closing time because we went during the festival, and our servers were very kind, but you could feel they were a bit overwhelmed. It would be nice for them to count with some extra hands for a next big event.
I got a Banh Mi with grilled Pork and it was soo good!! My Partner got the Brisket and Flank Pho and could not stop raving about it(the small was really big too we shared it)! Was so good the pictures we took were after we already started eating! We also got the spring rolls to share and they were so yummy!
Definitely will be coming back great food and great prices!!
I tried a new dish recently and it was incredible. It had BBQ pork, lettuce, rice vermicelli noodles, cucumber, fresh basil, and lettuce. It was incredible. I loved the grilled pork flavor and the freshness of the lettuce and basil. I also dipped it in fish sauce and the sauce from the spring rolls.
Massive in portions, though the amount of meat is lacking compared to under pho places, great fish sauce, grilled pork had good flavor, egg rolls were crunchy and had a good amount of filling, ample veggies and noodles! I will definitely come back to check out other items.
