10/10 recommend!
This place was truly a hidden gem that offered elevated Japanese dishes.

The chirashi bowl was beautifully presented with a generous amount of very fresh fish on top.

The Las Vegas Yagiya roll also offered fresh fish and you could really taste the snow crab throughout.

The takoyaki was rich with umami and definitely a must try.

We ended the dinner with one of each dessert. Matcha pudding was creamy with just the right amount of matcha flavor and the monaka ice cream sandwiched between two wafers was the perfect ending to a beautiful dinner.

A hidden gem! The employees were so kind and genuine, and the place felt cozy and intimate. I loved their Japanese kitchenware. It really matched the food’s presentation. Everything we tried was good, but our favorite was the karaage special. It came with egg salad on top, which I didn’t expect to like since I don’t usually order karaage, but it ended up being the best karaage I’ve ever had. The egg salad paired perfectly with it, even though I wouldn’t have expected that combination.

It’s a great spot for a date, and I’m so glad we found it just by driving around. The restaurant feels homey, and you can tell the dishes are thoughtfully curated. We ordered the nigiri set, chirashi bowl, karaage special, omelette with eel, and ramen. Every dish felt special, and we were not disappointed.

I’m Japanese who loves to eat, grew up in LA and Japan where they have one of the best food in the world.
Having said that, Oh boy, the food here was so delicious!!
What I loved about is that the sushi, steak, dessert…just aced it in all the genres!! And what’s best is that it’s super affordable that your experience just exceeds.
Friendly chef and staff adds plus to the great atmosphere too.
The chef actually hand carry Monaka from Japan. You can tell how he is serious about serving the best food.
Will definitely come back when I return to Las Vegas.

What a disappointment. We had family in town so organized a dinner here for six people for the last night.

I’ll put the food aside for a bit. It’s a bit overpriced for what it is and portion size, but that’s not why I’m rating it so low.

We ordered a bunch of appetizers to share and everyone ordered one entree each, ranging from hamburger steak, ramen, udon, and three chirashi.

Six people, six entrees.

First, my pet peeve is when things don’t come out in order. Appetizers came out in an orderly fashion, but then the udon came out.

Then for 8 minutes, nothing else. So the person eating the udon was done.

Then the ramen came out. Okay…?

Another 10 minutes later, the hamburger steak came out.

Then for 10 minutes, nothing.

The people eating the udon, ramen and hamburger steak are finished. I ask about it, and they say it’s being prepared, claiming it takes awhile.

It’s a raw dish. Was it really that hard to match the cooked dish to when the raw dishes were to be finished so we could eat as a family?

Then… TWO chirashi come out while three of us are waiting.

I ask about the third one, and clearly, they didn’t include that order.

Unbelievable.

For a dinner that cost $330 (including an underserved tip, WITHOUT the final ~$40 chirashi included) — this is just so outrageous.

The ramen was good, but in Vegas, we have so many good ramen places. But for that, I’ll add one star for two total and I think I’m being generous.

Just opened up!

Nice interior. Kind of an upscale izakaya vibe.

I really enjoyed the chirashi, wagyu steak, fried chicken, and Japanese omelette with eel.

Excited to have a new place to eat near us. Highly recommend

This is a beautiful, small restaurant with excellent food and style. I have not tried another Japanese restaurant with these dishes, and they are executed and presented beautifully. The fact that this impeccable little restaurant is a mile from my suburban home in a strip mall makes me feel very lucky.

The prices seemed high at first blush, but we left wondering how we hadn’t paid more for the experience. The mochi soup and pork steak with roasted potatoes were both highlights of the meal, but nothing disappointed. The hamburger steak was bafflingly juicy, and the salmon hand roll was generously portioned and very fatty and fresh. I look forward to visiting on a weekend night and trying some of the large and affordable sake selection.

It’s a brand new restaurant and we could tell the kitchen struggled a bit with timing, so not everything arrived together. We also ordered in two rounds, so maybe this is on us.

I look forward to seeing Izakaya Yagiya grow and succeed. Visit now before there’s a line out the door.

TL/dr: Good food, good vibe, amazing food prezentation and service. Recommendation: Takoyaki and Cold udon. Tuna hand roll value is low
.
Most of the food are better than your avarage. I had the takoyaki, homemade tofu, karaage, potato egg salad, Tomaranbo, tamagoyaki, cold udon and a Bluefin tuna hand rolls. Most meet my expectation but the highlight was the udon and the takoyaki. The cold udon was suprisingly tasty and reminded me of one of the Omakase that I had last year. Takoyaki can easily one of the best in Las Vegas. The supposely “bad” one of the meal was the tuna hand roll. It tasted okay, clean, just the value is a bit low. I will definitely be back another time to try the rest of the menu.
