I don’t like leaving negative reviews, as we all have our off days. But what I received was the most depressing Banh Mi sandwich I’ve had, anywhere. No fresh veggies at all on the sub, carrots were playing hide and seek and winning, no jalapenos, and the meat was very salty (the pic is exactly how it came, plus the two withered mint leaves you can barely see in the pic). I’ve never had a banh mi with lettuce, but it seemed like it was the precut lettuce and carrot mix bag you get at food lion. For delivery, the bread was close to being fresh, so that was ok. The egg rolls were tasty but small for the money.

The service was great and your food comes out really fast, but our main course food was warm not hot when we received it and the pork in our Pho was a little underdone from what I believe is not getting a chance to cook in the broth enough. Although it tasted good, these things made us question whether it wasn’t reheated prepackaged food/frozen food instead of cooked when we got there. Although I’ve eaten at places with reheated food, it made our meal personally taste mediocre. That aside, I enjoyed their Boba Tea here because the Boba was actually chewy where at other places I’ve gone the Boba can be hard and the flavor of the tea was good. I wish I was able to get a bigger cup! Prices are decent and there wasn’t a wait to sit. Presentation of food is great and our appetizer was good. @NokesideFoodie

Giving this place a 4 star overall review in hopes to offer some constructive criticism. We eat here regularly and have had no bad experiences. Several menu items are awesome, and some we think could use improvement.
My patenter is Vietnamese so we try not to compare to her family’s home cooking, but even then there are some items that we really enjoy.
A couple things we would critique are:
– Iced coffee, traditionally the coffee is served hot and you mix with condensed milk yourself, then ice. But this it is pre-made here and honestly very sweet. We would prefer to enjoy the traditional way.
– the pho is awesome! *But, they mix the onions, bean sprouts and cilantro in before serving. These are meant to be on the side with the jalapeños and lime. I would very much recommend sending these separately with the pho as meant to be, and as done in traditional viet restaurants.
Banh mi’s are done a bit different, but suuuuuper flavorful and fresh. Pho is done well, i always get the round eye steak & tendon.
Spring rolls & egg rolls are great appetizer options, we usually get these. Boba in the boba tea is also chewy, as meant to be!

The beef noodle soup, shrimp spring roll, the Viennese coffee are really good. They are pet friendly. I also like the light and peaceful music.

This place is a hidden gem and has the best Pho in Roanoke by far. The owners are so nice and friendly, and the food was amazing. They give you large portions and at extremely reasonable prices. An authentic Vietnamese food experience for sure. Their Pho hit the spot on a cold winter evening. Add a little lime juice and sriracha hot sauce and you’re all set. I live across town and this is definitely worth the trip.

The service was terrible. When I ordered, wanted dine-in but the server put it in for to go anyway. Not sure I even received the Pho I ordered. Pho also tasted watered down.
Dined her a little over a year ago and was looking forward to it. But the quality has dropped. Guess I’ll continue eating at another Pho restaurant down the road.

The worst Vietnamese restaurant I have visited in my entire life! The Pho was made from bullion cubes. Prctically NO meat in the soup. Noodles = WRONG! NO patrons during our visit. I wonder why??? NOT!

I was passing through Roanoke and had trouble finding a restaurant that was open and found this place. The food was wonderful and the staff very friendly. In the pho, the ingredients were very fresh and the broth was excellent. I also got a noodle dish which had a wonderful sweet lemongrass flavor.
