Excellent Vietnamese restaurant in the University District. We had lunch on a recent Saturday and the food was very good. We had the pork spring rolls, beef pho, chicken pho and grilled pork chops and the food was top notch. 2 thumbs up. Service was friendly and efficient. There’s free street parking but it does get busy. Just an fyi, my photos are of the take-out menu. If you’re dining-in you can also get the soups in a small size. They have nice all gender washrooms, one even has natural daylight.

The three of us came for dinner tonight. We arrived around 6 p.m., and there were still one or two empty tables. But by the time we started ordering, people were already waiting for seats—this place is clearly very popular.
I ordered the House Special Pho, along with chicken wings and onion cakes to share. The Pho was excellent—light but flavorful broth, bouncy noodles, tender beef, and generous portions.
The onion cakes were also outstanding: soft and chewy on the inside, fragrant with green onion, and crisp on the outside. In Vietnamese cuisine, people traditionally dip fried dough sticks into soup, and this onion cake gives a similar kind of satisfaction.

Absolutely outstanding Vietnamese restaurant! The service here is consistently great — the staff are friendly, attentive, and always make us feel welcome. The food is incredibly delicious every single time. My wife and I have tried a lot of pho places over the years, and this has officially become our favourite spot.
The broth is rich and flavourful, the portions are generous, and everything tastes fresh and homemade. You can tell they put real care into their cooking. If you love pho or Vietnamese cuisine in general, this place is a must-try. Highly recommended!

This restaurant is amazing we go there at least once a week. Their pho is always so fresh and flavorful. I’ve tried pho at so many places around Calgary, and nothing compares to the pho at the University District location. The service is just as great too the staff are consistently polite, kind, and genuinely caring. Hannah, in particular, is wonderful and always makes our visits feel special. ❤️

Very modern ambience and decorations inside. I tried the Signature (dac biet) pho. The broth I kept wanting to eat it as it’s very refreshing and light compared to some places. Taste is balanced. The price for the portion/ bowl size of the pho was a bit steep however. The beef slices were quite big and have consistent cuts. I would come again to try other items.

Very very solid spot. Those UoC kids best understand how blessed they are to have a good pho spot next door. Interior is definitely designed for to be posted online!
The pho here has quite the handsome aroma, the cinnamon is definitely noticed in the air. Beyond fragrance, the broth has a healthy depth of flavour, the noodles are nice and thin as well. Friendly staff too!
Staff are friendly, tables are clean. Wish they had some of those small little plates for me to put sauces on the side rather than directly in the soup though (aint no sinner). Potentially was just that day.
Place is a very strong 4.5/5 if this was an option!

Delicious food! I went 3 times in one week because I liked it so much. It’s nice it’s close to the hotel I was staying at too. Amazing customer service too! I accidentally spilled coffee and they were understanding. They have beautiful decor! I love the colourful lanterns there. They give you hot tea as well.
I ordered pho, vermicelli bowl, green onion cake, and Bun Bo Hue, Vietnamese coffee. Everything was tasty! I definitely recommend this place!

Update:
Offered to come back and try other items on the menu. Tried the satay beef noodles based on recommendation and it did not disappoint as it was very flavourful and heavy on the peanut taste (which I like personally). Medium spice level. Had hints of curry flavour. Large portions of meat. The noodles were not mushy this time. They were a bit clumpy initially but once the soup settled in, it was fine. Soup is on the thicker side so be prepared to feel full after this! Would recommend the satay over the regular pho if wanting something more flavourful. The rice dishes at the table beside us looked rather and had variety so would consider coming back to try that. Appreciate the extra effort to win back a customer. Thank you!
Checked out this place for convenience. Average pho – did not disappoint nor impress. Portions are pretty good as I was full from a small and I usually always order large at other places. Noodles are on the soft mushy side so not my preference. The beef is called “steak” here but not really sure why. They are thicker cuts than usual Vietnamese restaurants and a bit more difficult to chew because of that. The tendon are the larger pieces and not the small scraps that they serve at others. Broth is mediocre. Pricing is on the higher side $16 for small and around $17 for large. I guess you pay for the ambience as the place is nicely decorated. Gone are the days when pho was around $10. Service is average and does not match the upscale interior. Only would return if I was craving pho and did not want to venture to Forest Lawn for the better pho options.

We had a wonderful dining experience here. The service was excellent, staff were incredibly patient and accommodating when we asked to change seats because the table was a bit small for four plus a toddler. Even though we didn’t have a reservation and it was a very busy Saturday night, they handled everything smoothly and made us feel well taken care of. The food was outstanding as well. The pho, in particular, was one of the best we’ve had in Calgary.
