i used to come here back since 2012, happy to see it still here December 30th 2025 coming into 2026

came in the early weekday evening hour, no wait time 🙂

broth is delicious like how I remember, rich and savory.

my favorite is the iced jasmine tea with fresh limes ‍

if i’m ever in the area, this is definitely a stop for me.

next week will be their 20th anniversary of the restaurant the owner informed me as i sat down. he remembered me from all those years ago
i pray they stay thriving for 20++ more years to come.

wholesome and nostalgic atmosphere here

Steam rises the second the bowl lands, and the aroma tells you everything you need to know: deep, roasted, meaty, and unmistakably savory. This broth is pure craft. Clear but powerful, layered with slow-simmered beef richness and warm spice that doesn’t shout, it hums. One sip and it coats your whole mouth with that clean, beefy depth that makes you pause mid-breath.

The noodles are silky and springy, carrying the broth like they were made for it. The beef is tender and generous, turning each bite into that perfect mix of texture and comfort. Then the fresh herbs hit, brightening the bowl without changing the mission: savory, savory, savory. A squeeze of lime sharpens the edges, a little chili adds heat, and suddenly you’re locked in, spoon after spoon, chasing that next hit of broth like it’s the best thing you’ve tasted all week.

This is the kind of pho that makes you slow down. The kind that feels like a reset button. The kind that, once you’ve had it, you compare every other bowl to it.

If you’re looking for “good pho,” you’ll find it. If you’re looking for the kind of pho that ruins other pho for you, this is the one.

I really wanted to like this place. They close at 9 PM, which I appreciate because many pho restaurants close earlier, so I decided to try their food to-go to check both portion size and flavor. Sadly, everything fell far below expectations.

I ordered the large combination beef pho, and the first thing that surprised me was how small the portion was. At most pho restaurants, a “large” bowl is genuinely large—I can barely finish it. Here, even the “large” felt like a scaled-down version, and the amount of meat in the “combination” was minimal. The noodles were also overcooked, so once I added them to the soup they immediately turned soggy and mushy, which completely took away the enjoyment. And what disappointed me most is that even the broth lacked richness. I didn’t expect to walk out saying “nobody’s pho soup impressed me,” but somehow even the soup here was not flavorful or aromatic at all.

I also ordered the charcoal pork vermicelli with eggrolls. While the two eggrolls were big and crispy—which I appreciated—the pork itself tasted more like regular barbecued meat rather than charcoal-grilled. There was no charcoal aroma, none of that smoky flavor you would expect from this dish. On top of that, the bowl had barely any vegetables, which made the whole dish feel unbalanced and a bit empty.

It’s a small restaurant, and it could be cute and cozy. Their service is fast, and I honestly had high hopes that this could become a regular go-to spot for pho. But based on this visit, the flavors, quality, and portion sizes need serious improvement. Overall, just a very disappointing experience.

After a cold and freezing weekend in Houston, it was great to have a hot bowl of pho at Pho One. It was hearty and flavorful that definitely hit the spot. The staff were also really friendly when you came in to eat. I will definitely recommend this place and will be back to try some of their other delicious dishes.

The food here is fantastic. I don’t know what the person before me is talking about stingy portions, many dishes have a large option so if you want a meal to share or want leftovers get the large size. I usually get take out as the building isn’t the nicest, but the owner and his family are wonderful people.

I have been dining and order take away and order through delivery services from this restaurant for many, many years. Over the last couple years The quality hasn’t always been the best, but I still always support because the food is usually still good and they have many veggie options and are close to where i live. I tried to order over the phone a couple months ago but the woman who answered the phone hung up on me twice. Whenever the older man answers he always recognizes my voice and is very nice.
Today is the last day i can support this business. I decided to order through Uber eats today. I ordered tofu spring rolls and veggie tofu pho. The tofu doesnt always taste the freshest including today and previous orders. I bit into one of my spring rolls to find a long, dark black hair that was rolled into it. I was instantly disgusted and spit out my food. I also had to pull out rotten/wilted lettuce out of the first spring roll That was hair free. I am now going to have to waste the pho because i am disgusted by the spring rolls and dont want to take a chance with the pho. I contacted uber eats and they refunded my order thankfully. It sucks because i have been supporting this small business for 10 plus years but with the quality steadily going down and now this i wont return.

Best tofu spring rolls and veggie pho in the area! Love this place!

Pho One was in my area with my friend. I wanted to show him how to eat Vietnamese food. 7 years ago, I had their beef stew. But I didn’t like it. Limeade was diluted.

So I avoid things I have tried. I ordered Bánh Hỏi Thịt Nướng, grilled pork wrap. I like the freshness of ingredients and wrap my own meal.
