Bowls of Vietnamese noodle soup dished out in an unassuming strip-mall setting.

The soup is amazing, I’ve had three bowls these week, even if the place might not seem as aesthetically pleasing the food is worth the try and honestly it was my first impression of PHO I definitely recommend it!

The best pho on this side of Maryland. I used to drive to Ellicott City but this broth is identical and fantastic.
If you are familiar with good pho spots, you don’t care what the inside looks like – only that the bowls are hearty and full of flavor which they absolutely are. It’s a no frills, focused on the food restaurant. And for that, it’s an easy 5 stars since I don’t have to drive as far for good pho.

pho nam is the best pho place i have tried in the DMV. i have frequented this restaurant minimum three times per week in the last two weeks. the owners are the sweetest i asked if they had a certain drink and they said unfortunately not at that moment but the owner recommended i try thai iced tea (it was my first time) and instantly i became addicted i have tried thai iced tea at two other pho places and they were a huge disappointment compared to the thai iced tea at pho nam the other owner explained that they don’t use additional coloring in there’s and let me tell you, i’m glad they don’t. best thai tea ever. also the broth is sooo rich and tasty, again i went to my old go-to pho place and was disappointed. so much so i had to leave this review for pho nam to let them know i miss and appreciate them and can’t wait to see them this week when i am back in rockville

Pretty good! Pho broth is excellent, but I felt the meats in my #14 were on the skimpy side. I found one piece of Tripe, and really had to search to find a few small pieces of Tendon. The Spring Rolls were very good, especially the Peanut Sauce. I ordered the Salty Lemonade Soda and it was excellent. Overall a good experience and I would go back again.

I’ve visited this place occasionally because the pho is good, and once again, the pho was decent. However, this was my first time ordering the grilled beef, and it was very disappointing. The meat was extremely tough and dry, and it wasn’t even served hot. It didn’t feel freshly made at all—more like it had been grilled long ago and simply reheated. Compared to the pho, the quality of the grilled beef was noticeably lacking and definitely needs improvement.

Food is normal but service is a huge miss. I’m sitting here yet again after debating between this and another local spot. The owner/waiter was walking away from me while I ordered (I always get a large with everything except tendon, spring rolls, and ice tea). I LITERALLY order that fast but in that time the guy walked behind me and then away. That explains why I am here 40 mins in, finished with my food and have no ice tea still. Never checked to see if I needed anything and is never once been friendly, I always feel like I’m bothering him when I walk up to pay. I was going to remind about the tea and get something to go but doesn’t look like that’s happening. I’m literally going to go to the other place to get a drink and spring rolls instead and leave them a good review for being friendly every time I have gone in. Gonna tip a big $0 and bail. Waste of my money.

Restaurant looks completely worn down like they ripped the tile floor stripped the walls light flickers at the entrance and bathroom. Number 1 for pho beef was fantastic so as long as you dont care about the ambiance just take it to go.

OK, so the food‘s good but they charge $.50 for a carryout container the same carryout container they place rice in? Little confusing because the other restaurant not too far from this establishment gives you a strong durable container and they don’t charge you $.50 plus this Establishment didn’t give me a spoon so you charge me $.50 for the rice container that you get at every Chinese establishment and you gave me no spoon whereas the other spot I got an. amazing container that’s worth a dollar extra and I get a pho spoon. n the pho spoon still makes you feel like your in the restaurant when ordering a carryout meal…. I may come back may not

Haven’t been here in years and it is still how I remember. I love that their broth is alittle on the spicy side and their tendon and tripe are on point. Also, those fried egg rolls are fantastic. Highly recommended and worth the drive and time.

Customer service is awful. One of the workers (elderly man) started saying hola to me (I’m Asian, must have looked darker in the light I guess), and I looked around confused at who he was talking to… the customer (also an elderly Asian man) in front of him started joining in, and both were saying hola REPEATEDLY and LAUGHING at me the whole time. They made me feel so uncomfortable when I was just waiting for my order. Pho is good, but you can get better at other restaurants nearby, with actual decent professional customer service who doesn’t make fun of you. Super disappointed.
