Chao Tuy Bo (Beef Marrow Porridge)
The Beef Marrow Porridge is a must get. I don’t think I’ve seen many Vietnamese restaurants sell this dish but it has me hooked. The bone marrow/meat is fatty (melts in your mouth), savory, and rich. And with the onions, cilantro, and pepper on top- chef’s kiss! I wish I had asked for some chili oil from the waiter but honestly, the dish by itself is already fantastic. Chao Tuy Bo is very nutritious and gentle on the stomach- such a comforting dish!
As for the pho, this wasn’t anything special in my opinion but the egg rolls that came with it were hot, crispy, and fresh! Lastly, the cafe sua da is always a nice sweet treat/beverage.
The service was nice/fast, the food (speciailly the beef marrow porridge) was delicious and I can’t wait to come back and order more next time.

My husband and I enjoyed our pho, egg rolls, and Thai teas here. The atmosphere and service was fantastic and will definitely stop again. We ate there on a Sunday night so it wasn’t busy but there were a lot of to go orders so you know it’s good lol

Really great small family owned authentic Vietnamese food spot. The portions are great for the price, the staff is friendly and very clean restaurant. I highly recommend the beef bhan mi sandwich or the pho. The pho is nice and tasty! I have been coming here for almost a year 2 to 3 times a month and the food never disappoints! Very good!

I never post reviews, but their Beef Bone Marrow Porridge deserves to talked about. Being Vietnamese myself, this was something I never had before nor really seen in Vietnamese menus across Houston so I ordered it with zero expectations and was blown away. Simmered in what seems to be the beef pho broth, the rice and fattiness of the bone marrow emulsified together into one and it was topped off with a bit of sate (chili oil) maybe for a hint of a spice. While so rich, could not put my spoon down until it was completely devoured. If there’s something new you’d like to try, DEFINITELY give the Beef Bone Marrow Porridge a go. I will be back

I ordered the pho tai, shrimp spring rolls, side of rice and a sprite. The pho was really flavorful and filling. The shrimp spring rolls were really fresh compared to other shrimp spring rolls I’ve had. All around very delicious and worth the stop.

Honestly it was one of the most beefiest and flavorful bowl of pho I’ve had in Houston. The shop looked unassuming and I nearly was going to suggest going elsewhere but I’m glad I didn’t because we finished every bite in that bowl, and I rarely am able to do that. Wish we lived closer because it’s so soulful that it’s still lingering and it’s been days!!
