Authentic and quaint Vietnamese place. Order the pho dac biet and it was really good.. maybe even better than my mom’s.. The broth was so flavorful that I didn’t add hoison. The beef was very tender and it was a large bowl. Egg rolls came out freshly fried and were good as well. I also got the winter melon green tea and forgot to mention sweetness when I ordered but it came out just sweet enough. Food price was higher than what I’m used to (N Charleston/DT area) but it was worth it.

My boyfriend and I popped in today on a whim and were blown away. He got the tofu bahn mi and I got the pork bahn mi and they were both absolutely perfect. The ingredients were fresh and flavorful, so true to the beauty of this sandwich. It’s one of our favorite lunch dishes, so we left so excited to have a new lunch staple spot. I’m also looking forward to trying some of the teas, because the Vietnamese iced coffee was delicious.

Let’s start with saying that I had the original milk tea with the least amount of sugar and it added the Boba and it was very good. I went back the next day to get another. I did get the beef brisket pho the broth and all the ingredients were very good. The brisket was very fatty which I’m not a fan of, but it was packaged very nicely. Seems to be more of a takeout place even though they have seating I’ve never seen anyone in there two times that I’ve been there at lunchtime. Love their Boba

I think there are better places in the area for the same type of food. Tried the egg rolls and beef pho. Pho was pretty good, but the egg rolls were dripping in oil and were not fresh-made, but tasted like they were right out of the freezer into the deep fryer.
When you order, you get a good view of the kitchen operation, which I wish I had not seen. Cleanliness and organization in the kitchen was lacking.
Very tight seating and you are going to hear every word your neighbor says. Unfortunately the people next to us were wasted and loud.
On a positive note, our server was very nice and was hustling to get food out. No complaints on the service.

Bright, clean environment with plenty of tables for a small crowd. The egg rolls were excellent, and the pho is to die for! I was impressed with the complexity of the broth, and the proteins were very tender. The chili oil was excellent as well. I will be driving over the bridge to eat here more often.

I always get the spicy beef noodle soup. It is the best pho I have had on the East Coast. Their summer rolls are delicious and they are not small at all. You can feel the love that is put into the food.

One of the best Vietnamese Pho. Full of flavor and quality meats. I ordered all meat with meatballs, thin sliced beef, tripe & tendon. It was delicious. Just make sure to heat up the broth to cook the meat. I had mine TO GO.

Food was great! Each food item had different meat options for example for the pho there were options like tofu pho or brisket and rare beef (which I got) the broth was very rich and flavorful. One thing I find was kid was the atmosphere, it was very simple but didn’t affect the food quality at all. The staffs were very friendly and informative. I will definitely be coming back soon!

I just tried this place today and was really impressed by the Pho Tai!! The staff were very friendly and informative which I appreciated very much. I believe the owner dropped off my food and was so hospitable. The food was great— the Pho broth was complex and delicious and the meat was super tender with toothsome noodles. I want to make it a weekly ritual. Another thing I thought was great was the cleanliness of the restaurant— the Pho restaurant at H&L is probably the best in Charleston, but very dirty. This place is clean, inviting, and has good food for a good price. I can’t wait to go back next week!!!
