This is a small place so keep that in mind on busy days, but my wife and I came on Friday for lunch. The only open spot was at the bar but we like eating at the bar so no big deal to us.

Before I get to the food the bar tender / waitress / hostess do it all girl Amy is awesome. She took care of everything, for every customer, on the dining side of the floor. She didn’t miss a beat and had time to chat and recommend the house margarita which was very good. She made the trip so Thank you Amy.

Now the food… I ordered a traditional PHO and my wife got the Pork Vermicelli. I love spring rolls and from reviews the beef jerky was also mentioned a lot so we ordered both for our appetizers. Since my wife was working tonight, I also ordered the traditional Banh Mi to go for later.

The spring rolls were a good size and hit the mark on flavor. The beef jerky was outstanding. It comes with sticky rice which I don’t think I have ever officially had and it was fun to break pieces off and add to the beef. I also added the hot sauce which is like a combination of Sriracha and a red hot. I really liked the hot sauce. The chili oil is HOT – it’s also not my thing as I found out haha.

The Pho had an incredible beef stock and the flavors were amazing. This is one real good PHO. I’d like to try the spicy one but I may just stick to the OG next time it was that good.

My wife liked the vermicelli and ate almost all of it, so i was only able to taste her scraps but I agree the sauce was good and the ingredients were crispy and fresh I would have been happy with that as my order too.

Lastly, 5 hours later, I just finished the Bahn Mi – even straight out of the fridge it was tasty. I’ve never had one before so think sliced pork, with fresh crispy vegetables on it with a white sauce like mayo if it wasn’t. It was different and I would have another for sure. The fries I’m going to put in the air fryer for the kids but they are seasoned and will not disappoint I’m sure.

Good spot, small, GREAT staff, and you’ll like it 🙂

We enjoyed our dinner here. The waiter was nice and it was a cozy little spot. The food was good but didn’t blow us away. Overall rating is 4.5/5 and what brought that up was the atmosphere of the place.

I’m blown away by this spot.

The chicken udon is the star of the show. This is not your average chicken noodle soup. You can taste that the broth has been simmering for hours. It feels like a real labor of love. The rich broth, thick udon noodles, and tender chicken come together in a cozy bowl that will surely cure any cold.

Other dishes worth mentioning…
-Vietnamese crepe: a must try. Super crisp, crunchy edges and packed with fresh, bright flavor
-Bun bo hue: bold, spicy and layered with deep, savory richness
-Pho banh mi: basically pho in sandwich form and it works. The bread stays crisp, the fillings are savory and every bite tastes familiar

If you want comforting Vietnamese food in an upscale space, this place delivers on flavor and ambiance. It’s not your typical pho restaurant. It’s clean, polished and everything from the plating to the atmosphere feels elevated.

They have the best tasting satay I’ve had here! The restaurant is very welcoming and cozy. The staff and the owner are great and friendly. This restaurant hits the spot for comfort food!

EDIT: We just had their Ube Ice Cream for dessert and it blew my mind! Their ube ice cream is out of this world! Don’t miss it out!

Absolutely nothing to not like about this place. Conveniently located right on 96 with plenty of parking. The pho, satay and spring rolls we’re all delicious. There were a few big stars of the show for this visit. The first being the Traditional Pho. The Pho was so good My wife and I joked about the fact that we both literally said “wow this is so good” after every bite for almost the entire bowl. Second was our server. She was incredibly personable and incredibly on top of things without being intrusive. Lastly was the cook who we could see through a window behind the bar He was preparing every dish with such care and purpose. He placed every leaf every sprout and every garnish so delicately You can tell he really cared and enjoyed what he was doing. And it showed in the food. We absolutely loved our visit and we will absolutely be back!

Really clean, great tasting pho. Noodles just the right texture. Would have enjoyed more variety in ingredients (no tendon or tripe). The fries were delicious too and they packed in a lot for the spring rolls. Would come back again!

Oh my goodness. What a great find for us out of towners looking for some good food while traveling for hockey! We arrived 15 min before closing, and was welcomed with open arms. Placed our order and enjoyed waiting and socializing with the owners while we waited. There is such a good vibe here and everyone was so happy and care free. We ordered the spring rolls (seriously the biggest and freshest we’ve ever had), the shrimp fried rice (amazing), the traditional pho (so fresh!), beef Jerry (amazing!), and three NY strip (so so good). We brought it back to our hotel across the street and our fellow hockey parents couldn’t help but to wish they too would have gone there. Smells so good and tastes even better. Thank you Pho King! It’s So Pho King GOOD!

We came here for a late lunch on a Saturday. The table service was slow. We ordered spring rolls and traditional pho as well as a Thai iced tea and a hot green tea. The pho broth was good in that it didn’t taste of anis seed, but it could have used some salt. This restaurant seems like it’s seeking to elevate the pho dining experience, but I am used to fast pho meals in Chicago, so eating here took some patience. It also seemed like the Sriracha was watered down.

Had a tough time deciding if I wanted the Banh Mi or the Pork Vermicelli and then realized… I’m an adult and can have both; it was a good choice, they were equally delicious.
The service was excellent and friendly and they made sure we got exactly what we ordered. From where we sat, we could observe the kitchen and they too were on it and working well together.
I can HIGHLY RECOMMEND Pho King!

We have waited, it seems forever for this Pho King House to open, and we were not disappointed. The interior was surprisingly very casual, but with a modern touch. The staff was warm and welcoming. We ordered the Fresh Spring rolls for an appetizer. They were large and very fresh tasting. For our main course, we ordered the Pho and Chicken Udon. Both were served piping hot. Both broths had a rich flavor and plenty of beef and chicken. For our dessert, we had 2 Iced Vietnamese coffees. We will definitely be returning to try other items on their menu.
