I stopped in for the first time yesterday and the food here was AMAZING. I got the beef stew and it couldn’t have been better. The beef was tender and flavorful, the broth was perfect and the veggies were just the right amount of crisp/tender. The place itself is clean and well maintained and the staff was lovely too. I can’t wait to go back and try something else!

Very good and authentic Vietnamese pho and classic banh mi sandwich. Tiger sugar boba was split into 2 cups and sealed for kids with no problems. Boba Tea was also not too sweet which we like. Highly recommend.

Tried out Pho Hung due to the lack of different options on Monticello, and I left feeling… well, full, but not fulfilled. Let’s just say this place charges luxury spa prices for street food vibes—and not in a cool, trendy way.
Their pho wasn’t bad—just bland, like it had commitment issues with flavor. At nearly $20 a bowl, I was expecting fireworks; I got a sparkler on a damp day.
Summer rolls? The cilantro stood out more than it should have. The peanut sauce wast better than the rest of the food, which tells you something.
The pork chop was a full-on dental workout. I’m not saying it was tough, but I genuinely questioned whether I needed to sign a waiver before taking a bite. This thing needed to be tenderized like it owed someone money. The rice that came with it had a little something extra, which I’m hoping was a one-off incident.
The honey butter fries was described as “drizzled with sweet and savory honey butter glaze”… no drizzle, no glaze.
Service was friendly, and the decor had that minimal-chic Instagram thing going on. But when I’m paying this much for a bowl of noodles, I’d like my taste buds to feel something.
All in all, not terrible—but definitely not worth the price. Would I come back? Maybe if someone else is paying.

This is the best pho I ever had. You must try the Manager’s Special that has a bone-in beef short rib and flank steak. Overall, it’s a very generous portion of meat and noodles in an amazing, fragrant broth. The summer rolls were also delicious and they contained crispy fried onions which was a nice addition. Also, enjoyed a delicious Thai bubble tea to go after eating. The owner is very welcoming and friendly, and I enjoyed the colorful and cozy atmosphere. This is now a must stop location whenever I’m passing through town! Thank you so much!

This was such a lovely and unassuming place, but perfect in every way. The pho was warm, hearty and delicious. And the service was spot on- a truly lovely mom and pop spot. We came with our two kids when we needed a break from lackluster food at our resort and the server without asking split our kids orders and was very attentive on xmas eve! Highly recommended!

Food was really very good. I would definitely go back for the food. I had managers special Pho with slow cooked beef shank. Wait time was bad, but it was New Year night so very busy. Worth the wait though. It was a bit cold in there (Jan 1 and the door constantly opening)… but the deco was nice and Vietnamese styled. TV with Vietnam street markets and food helped create authentic atmosphere even in freezing NY.

There aren’t many places to eat in Monticello, but I did have to get something for dinner as I was vacationing around, so I chose Pho Hung.
The pho isn’t that bad, it’s actually pretty decent, but considering the prices I was expecting… a bit more. The noodles were okay, I was lucky and got a lot of beef brisket (though some of the other people I was eating with weren’t so lucky). The broth definitely got watered down, not to mention since the bowl is pretty big it looks like 70% broth and 30% food.
There were four of us dining and we only got one plate of toppings, so I asked the waitress for a second plate of toppings and it took me three different tries before she finally acknowledged me.
Another person I was eating with ordered their lychee drink with boba. I took one glance at the boba and I feel like those would taste rock hard, and I was right when they took a sip and said the boba wasn’t really chewy. Plus, they ordered lychee, but our whole table took a whiff at their drink and concluded that the staff must’ve ran out of lychee flavoring (heck, not even lychee but lychee flavoring) and swapped to passionfruit and prayed we didn’t notice. Yeah, we did.
Is this a place to stop by to eat if you’re hella hungry? Yeah. But is this place a place where you’ll feel amazing and transported out of this world by the food? Nahh. You’ll feel full, sure, but your taste buds’ happiness? Ehhh…
