What a phenomenal Pho place! I highly recommend it to Pho lovers and anyone trying it for the first time.
We have gluten allergies and they were super helpful when we called ahead to ask questions and also again when we sat down to order.
The food was delicious and the hospitality was above and beyond. What a warm and friendly experience.

Ended up this way on a cold day, so we stoped in for some pho and dumplings, and man we’re we suprised at the depth and flavors of the broth! There was what looked like an older couple in the kitchen working as a team and they knew what the were doing. My favorite though was the dumplings! The lady in front was super nice and walked us through the menu.

Andover Plaza has always been something of a food island if not an outright desert. Through several changes of ownership we’ve had a mediocre pizza joint for decades. A couple of breakfast cafes have come and gone and left little impression. Prior to Pho House moving here, we had a pretty average suburban Chinese take-out joint, whose traditional and typical offerings varied anywhere from passable to abysmal. And so when we locals heard about the impending arrival of something truly different we anticipated its coming with great hope and lofty expectations. So far I would have to say that they’ve hit the mark we all counted on.
We’ve gotten take-out from them about a half-dozen times so far and everything is fresh, tasty, nicely prepared, and attractively arranged. Some specifics… Appetizers come exactly as expected: spring rolls are hot and crunchy, dumplings tender and chewy, shrimp tempura nicely crispy. If you order their eponymous pho, you can get it packaged separately still comprising its various component parts (broth, meat, vegetables, condiments, etc.) which enables you to assemble it fresh at home. Their various stir-fry dishes, whether based on rice or noodles, are all well seasoned and contain a good mix of veggies, protein, and sauces. Their fried rice is full of fresh cilantro and not too salty or soy-saucy.
While they have a half-dozen tables, we’ve always gotten takeout; we live 3 minutes away so it’s never seemed to make sense to dine in. Frankly, there’s little by the way of restaurant ambience to speak of — it’s primarily a take-out counter with a big kitchen behind — but the food honestly speaks for itself.

Authentic Vietnamese food with affordable price. They occasionally have special dishes on Friday or at weekends that are not on the menu, like the duck salad with vermicelli and bamboo shoot as shown here. The salad has duck, shredded cabbage, fried shallots and Vietnamese mints (rau răm). Dipping sauce is made of fish sauce and ginger. The soup has tons of bamboo shoots. Pay a visit here and you won’t be disappointed.

the pho was good (could had more flavor) but the portion size was disappointing. the “large” soup came in a pint container, and the noodles were not cooked (i took a photo to show).
the bún bò huế was $17, which felt steep for such a small portion. soup was bland and not spicy at all. i added the chili sauce that came with it (even asked for extra in the grubhub note), but didn’t get any and it didn’t help. I don’t know why the fried shallot was added, normally it would be separate or optional.
Vietnamese coffee was too sweet, the best option they could have done was to add more ice if the drink was strong it will help it get diluted, than making it sweeter.
i used to work at a pho spot, so i know what good portions and flavor should be. this place needs improvement, it’s overpriced and inconsistent.

Food was so yummy. We got a little bit of everything and it was all really good.
Staff were so nice. So glad to have Boba tea near me. We will definitely be back.

Room for improvement… now to be fair we came in on the grand opening…. but they didn’t have alot of what was on there menu (or at least what we ordered). One of the coldest nights out there and there front door would stay open long enough to cool your food down quickly! Getting food was a very long wait… but once the food arrived it was decent. Boba tea was very good and same with coffee! Pho soup was very bland and needed lots of added flavorings (which they have available on the tables). I look forward to the buisness it has the potential to become!

Highly recommend! We just had a great 10 person dinner at Pho House. The pho broth was superior, noodles were well-cooked and the beef was very good. This is a hidden gem in Andover, CT!

This review is specifically for takeout/delivery. We got two different types of pho delivered, along with some spring rolls. The spring rolls were excellent. Unfortunately the noodles for the pho were so undercooked that even after reheating the broth and putting them in, they were inedible. I understand that for takeout, getting the right semi-cook on the noodles so that they don’t turn to mush in the bowl is a challenge, but for takeout there are still some kinks in their system and they haven’t gotten this balance right. The flavor on the broth was excellent though. I’d love to try their pho again once they’ve got their takeout system working properly.
