Pho Hoang Restaurant is definitely one of my favorite spots for Vietnamese food in Calgary. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm, welcoming atmosphere and the comforting aroma of rich, simmering broth.
I ordered the special pho, and it was incredible! Deep, flavorful broth, perfectly cooked noodles, and generous portions of tender beef. You can tell the broth has been simmered for hours; it’s packed with umami and authenticity. The fresh herbs, bean sprouts, and lime on the side made it even better.
We also tried the satay beef and spring rolls on vermicelli, and it was just as impressive. The beef was juicy and well-seasoned, and the spring rolls were crispy perfection. Lots of sauce. Love it!
If you want a simple warm meal with a very reasonable pricing (by far the best in Calgary), and filling portions, authentic Vietnamese food, Pho Hoang is a must-visit. I’ll be coming back regularly!

Food came fast, and the serving was proportionate. The food tasted good too, but I felt a lack of service. There were 3 of us, but only 2 glasses of water were served. And when they refilled our water, only 1 was given a refill even when the others needed water too. The server didn’t come back nor ask.
When we were finishing up our food, we noticed the shrimp we ordered wasn’t cleaned either. We probably won’t come back here unless there’s no other choice.

Consistently excellent spot for pho! I’ve been coming here since high school, and it remains one of the cleanest and most reliable places in the city. The broth is rich and flavorful, and the rest of the menu—from soups to entrées—is just as satisfying. Definitely one of the top spots for pho in town.

Was craving a banh mi so stopped in here while running errands. I asked one of the women working there which one they would suggest, and ordered the chargrilled pork based on their recommendation. It did not disappoint! The meat and its sauce were really savoury, and the veggies were fresh and crisp. Another star was the bread- crusty but still nice and soft. Either I was really hungry or this was an excellent sandwich, or both!

My go to restaurant for Vietnamese Food! The food is delicious especially the Bun bo Hue. The broth is flavourful and not too spicy which I like. The staff are very friendly too!

Love the vietnamese food here. I always order the special house soup, and they never let me down. Beef cube with rice is also a very good alternative. I’m a regular customer, and they always greet me with a smile.
There is plenty of parking outside as the parking lot is shared with other businesses and is very spacious.
Wait time is not long and overall a great experience every visit.
